My wife came across this place after watching Matt DV do a review on YouTube. We’ve ordered from here twice already and have not been disappointed either time. It truly reminds us of our grandparents’ cooking. Every bite was delicious and I did not have to add any type of seasoning to my plate. The portion size was huge for the platters which I really appreciated. We’ll have to try some breakfast the next go around.

Baby!!!!!!!! When I tell you ima fat girl and I love food, this place right here crosses every T in PerfecT for me hunni. This hit the spot and it’s soooo good. The Owners are so dope , pleasant and welcoming. 5 stars isn’t enough . They fill ya plate up. I ordered oxtails rice and Mac .cornbread comes with every dinner, i also ordered porkchops cabbage and pinto beans , it’s sooooo good. . I literally saw a dude on YouTube and said how is it idk bout this place , we’ll it was definitely worth the ride from Eo to Newark! A MUST BUY!!!! No lies told!!!!!

Caught them right before closing for takeout on Easter Sunday. This was my first time eating here despite riding past the restaurant basically all my life. Blown away by the food, easily some of the best soulfood in Newark. The oxtails and turkey wings were tender and flavorful. The mac and cheese and yams were perfect. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned, and the cabbage was decent as well. I’ll absolutely be back to try other dishes as well as their breakfast. Don’t be discouraged by the location or minimal online presence. This is a no-frills spot beats out a lot of the more overhyped/popular soul food restaurants, easily.

This is my first time going here. A coworker recommended it. I ordered the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, and yams. I also ordered pig feet… Omgoodness it’s soooooooo good! Everything is delicious! The pig feet are tender and flavourful.
