Very good classic takeout Chinese food. You can tell they have a lot of regulars that are very loyal. The food overall was hot, tasty and flavorful. I thought the lo mein was great and had lots of beef. The lunch special sesame chicken was very good as well. It was a great price for a lot of food. Wonton soup and egg roll were solid. It does not take my top spot, but it is much closer and I plan to continue to come back.

Unfortunately, not a great first experience. Placed an order through the restaurant’s website and it disappeared into a dark hole although our card was charged. Okay, it happens. Technology messes up. Called the restaurant and they were apologetic, but now at this point they’re rushing for now a pick-up in 15 minutes. Got our food. Could not tell the difference between teriyaki chicken and orange chicken that’s how little flavor it had. The fried rice we paid extra for was not fried. We would have waited a few more minutes for the food to be made right and not waste our time and money. Really bummed because we wanted to find a good Chinese restaurant close to work. We’ll keep looking.

I have lived in the neighborhood for 20 years, so that’s how long I’ve been eating at Eastern. At one time their special fried rice was the best! But not any more. Unfortunately, all their food has declined in quality and taste in the last 3years or so. You still get big portions, it’s still relatively inexpensive, and the staff are still polite and accommodating. Fast? Yes, but i think it’s because they make their food is made up in large quantities in advance. That’s ok for rice, or soup, maybe. But the last few times I’ve ordered Gen Tso’s chicken, it was over cooked and NOT crispy and the sauce was cloyingly sweet and goopy. The egg rolls taste and appear as if they came from an egg roll factory. The wonton soup was weak and pretty tasteless. But, the fried rice was the most disappointing! There is another Chinese place up the road; I think they are going to regrettably, become my new go to for Chinese.

The food here is really good. They have a nice variety of a lunch menu. The people here are so friendly and welcoming. The inside is kind of small and dated but the food makes up for it. It’s our go to Chinese restaurant.

Food is awful, I got sesame chicken, general tsos, special fried rice, egg rolls, wonton soup and egg drop soup. The chicken dishes had no good flavor and sauce was the consistency of water, and tasted like ketchup. The egg drop soup was very salty with no other flavor. Wonton soup was just okay as were the egg rolls. The fried rice lacked flavor. This was delivered. One of the chicken dishes was in a sealed plastic container while the other was in a styrofoam one. The styrofoam container leaked all of the water sauce onto the other contents in the bag.

The service was great, they even exchanged a soup for us that we didn’t like for free. Food was good!

Very delicious food made fresh and always hot. The pricing might be a little high but I haven’t had a single complaint about the food quality. I always order the sweet & sour chicken or general tso chicken. The dining area itself is extremely outdated and the location definitely throws you off a bit. But all that matters is the food and the food is definitely great.
