Café con leche is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Made a reservation for 8 for an anniversary on a Monday and it went well. Their parking lot isn’t that big nor is the restaurant, so I can see how on weekends it would be hard to get a reservation.

Going to dinner for a farewell, we decided to try Cafe Con Leche. First and foremost, I have to mention the bathroom! Don’t freak out when you enter the tropical oasis with raining sounds and a coqui in the background, I enjoyed the experience and the sounds but everyone else at the table didn’t feel the same way.

I went on Friday, March 10, 2023 to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it was a party of four. The place inside is very cute and cozy. Even though you need reservations to guarantee a sitting it was all worth it. The appetizers, dinner, drinks and desert were all delicious. The portion that you get is worth the price and it is a lot. I recommend the place to anyone. I always say in life when you want something good you have to pay the price. Will most definitely be going back!

I had my daughter’s Sweet 16 party in Abuela’s room (the private party room in the second floor) and it was perfect! There were 35 of us and we had the best time. The food was delicious, the service was personal, and the room was private and yet still felt part of the restaurant. I’m so glad we had her special night at Cafe con Leche ❤️

My bestie and I had a wonderful dinner at Cafe Con Leche. We wanted something different. One of the ladies from the church recommended a Puerto Rican restaurant. The venue, the staff, and most of all their food were outstanding. We ordered Mango Salsa Salmon, Sauteed Chicken Mofongo, Maduros, Arroz, and Con Gandules. For beverages, we had Passion Fruit and Guava natural juices. We ate at the bar our waitress, Rosemary and the bartender (we didn’t get his name) was friendly and very helpful in picking out our meal. The portion of the food was a lot. I highly recommend this luscious restaurant.

Authentic Puerto Rican food, always delicious! There are some dishes here that I’ve only ever had back home on the island. Staff is very nice and helpful if you’re not sure what to order. I’ve also ordered from their catering menu when I am having people over and don’t want to spend time cooking, and their catering menu does not disappoint!

Really wonderful to have such an authentic Puerto Rican place in Poughkeepsie. Recommend the sampler of fritters. We tried the tri-fongo as a special and it was a little sweet for my taste. Will do something simpler next time around… and also try a drink, which I skipped.

Wow. We are Puerto-Rican and we can say, this is as close to home cooking as we know. The food was absolutely amazing; great flavor, cooked perfectly. Bottomless mimosas for $25. The staff was friendly. 2 single restooms on the main floor and it was decorated beautifully with the sounds of the Coqui playing on the speaker which made you feel home. They have merch for purchase (socks, hats, sweaters, shot glasses, cups, etc.) and PR beer for purchase in 6-packs as well and on tap. It truly was amazing. I was food happy and dancing in my seat because it’s as close to my moms cooking as I have found.
