This place is pretty good it’s not the best in town from this visit but the chips and salsa are really good I can say it’s the best salsa in my opinion in town. And the service is really good and the people are very friendly. My trees never got too low and I always had someone checking to make sure I was not needing anything and once the food came out someone came that was not my waitress to see how my food was. So this place is a must visit. I had the number 15 I will be going back to try other dishes to see how they compare to other restaurants!!!! On my second visit I tried the tacos they are a must try and so is the guacamole !!!

The food was good and it was filling. The five star rating is mostly for the service. We had a great server who was super polite and attentive. I was sad they did not have flan that day because that is usually how I judge a Mexican food place is by the quality of the flan, but the meal was still delightful and flavorful. I enjoyed that they had more options than just the usual burrito, chimi, tamale, and tacos. The molcajete was delicious and the first time I had seen anything like that on the menu.

7 of our family went to dine at dinner time, appetizers of guacamole and the fries were good. Entrees not so good tasting and appearances of plating of food left a lot to be desired. Look like it was all dumped on plates in big piles. We had called ahead by couple of hours and told it would be a larger party and was told “No problem”. Four tables of costumers arrived after we had ordered and their food came out while we sat and waited for our food. Will not be back.

We ordered takeout from here and everything was very good! Homemade tortillas and authentic Mexican menu items were a very pleasant surprise. The best tacos we’ve gotten in Gillette so far.

Absolutely amazing Mexican restaurant! I’ve tried to get my fix many times across SD, WY & MT with no success. Most restaurants are bland and boring, with much of their food tasting like it was out of a can. That is NOT the case with Frida’s. Everything was incredibly fresh. The tortillas, salsa, hot sauce… all homemade. The restaurant itself was exceptionally clean. The bathroom smelled like a pool (in a good, properly sanitized kinda way) and tables were cleaned within two minutes of other guests’ departure. My server was incredibly attentive to my needs and checked in frequently. If only there was a location in Rapid City, I would be there weekly. With a two hour drive, I would still consider making a trip every couple of months just to eat here. Do us all a favor and support this establishment. We need amazing places like this to stick around out here on the prairie.

Do not let the unassuming strip mall location fool you. This is easily some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had. We had an extra day in Gillette and feel very lucky to have found Frida’s. We liked our food so much that we ordered extra to go for our next meal. And the peach margarita really hit the spot on a hot summer day. Get off Google and go here!!

Hidden away, rarely spoken of, is an awesome restaurant. Walk through the door and be greeted with a modern, fancy remodeled seating area. Top it off with amazing food and salsa. The seafood burrito will not disappoint.
