It costs a bit more than most diners down here, but the food is great. The sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs all taste great. Portion sizes are OK. The service is good. The menu is a little more diverse than the usual food you’d get at a diner of this nature. The Rachel sandwich is probably the best thing on the menu. They usually give you a lot of fries too, so I always walk out of here full. I think they close early so it’s best to come here for lunch.

Full disclosure: I already love TooJay’s so I am probably biased. Our waitress was extremely nice, and the food was delicious. I got the half sandwich and soup combo and it was a lot food! Also delicious. The entire staff including the busser and bakery staff were all friendly. The location is very clean as well.

I’d never been to this location, and while the food was great, the service was slow with a smile. I’m not sure why things were delayed, but I was there over an hour, and I only ordered a salad and fries (with very few people in the restaurant). My to-go bag was missing utensils.

Best grill cheese I’ve had in a long time and definitely made you feel like a kid again. The quality of food at TooJay’s is always consistent . The taste, quantity for your money and service with a smile atmosphere puts this location as one of the top joints on my list. Friendly service, ample parking amd great location all adds to the experience whether is take put or dine in. The bacon was crisp just how I like it, the fries were great, the shepard’s pie was so flavorful and tasty. We’ve had different things of the menu and thus far they haven’t disappointed us.

Good food! Tasted pretty decent! Waiter wasn’t too attentive but I can’t complain because I sat alone with my beats earbuds in my ear! Hostess was really sweet and told me how long they had been in business because it was my first time there! Desserts looked tasty- I was able to control myself and not get any! First for me! I would return!

My friend and I were hungry after I had a procedure on my back and we decided to go to Toojays. I haven’t been here in years and boy was I happy to see the improvements! For starters, our server, Madison was lovely and attentive. We ordered the Rachel and split it and without having to say anything, it was perfectly split on another plate with a nice amount of fries and cole slaw each. I immediately asked if they got a new chef and was told they did, it absolutely reflected in the food. The new manager even stopped by to say hi and tell a few funny jokes. We then were feeling adventurous and ordered the chocolate cake filled with moose which was so heavenly fresh and delectable. This establishment has definitely taken a turn for the better and we will be back! YUM!

I used to love this place. The food has been lacking flavor my last two visits. I had a hot pastrami sandwich and it lacked that signature pastrami taste. It was bland. There is another issue besides food though. I arrived before someone but she was given her food first; it’s not she called ahead either. She ordered more food than me. There is no excuse for it. They skipped right over me. They were packing the person’s food that came after the woman who came after me. At which point, I had to say something. That was the only reason I received my food. I feel like it was intentional. I will not go back there again.

Though the food is generally good, since they’ve dropped my 2 favorite menu items (the chili and open faced turkey melt), I just haven’t had much interest in going back.
