Located inside of Partake with free street parking around the block, Cena Vegan is an LA icon for vegan tacos. Cena is usually found as a pop up at Smorgasburg and as a ghost kitchen in LA, but now they also have a ghost kitchen in LB. The food here tastes equally as great and the menu seems to be the same. The big plus here is there is plenty of seating with free wifi, cutlery, and a water station. (Partake offers other beverages as well.) They also have some new and clean restrooms, which you know is important.

I was really excited for this place because a lot of people have spoken highly of this place on IG. Unfortunately the food was not that great. It did not taste like asada/carnitas ect. Obviously eating something vegan you go with the expectation that it won’t taste like meat but it will be a close second.. but I didn’t get that from Cena Vegan at all. The food was bland, the salsa’s weren’t any better. It was really disappointing. Maybe we tried it on a bad day but it really didn’t leave me with the desire to go back. Two stars for the service though 🙂
