Great place for cheesesteaks, actually was the best cheesesteak I have had. Fries were super flavorful, crispy, and fluffy, plus the melted cheese they give you is actually melted cheddar, not something from a can. Fair Prices. Wish this place had more options for cheese, like provolone or whiz instead of American.

I enjoyed grabbing some authentic south philly food here in Harrisburg. It is nice to find a place so close without having to make the drive. I loved the italian sub we got. I am looking forward to coming back. It’s a little hole in the wall, but friendly and knowledgeable people.

Prices were apparently outdated on the website so when we received the total for our order, it was 15 dollars higher than expected. Customizing your cheesesteaks will also increase the price significantly. My wife ordered her cheesesteak with 3 toppings but it would have been cheaper to order the cheesesteak special (4 toppings) and just remove pepperoni. The cheesesteaks themselves were good, but the cheese was just sitting on the bottom instead of mixed throughout with the meat. Fries were decent but not fresh cut. 3 cheesesteaks and 2 orders of fries for $60 is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. I recommend people try Philadelphia Steaks and Hoagies on the Carlisle Pike if they want the better cheesesteak and at a more reasonable price.

I’ve been eating here for years. I’ve had other cheesesteaks and I always wish they tasted like a South Philly Hoagie’s cheesesteak. The dudes that are working in there are just the best too. Efficient, always on point. Don’t waste your cheesesteak money anywhere else. Hit this place up. You have to be kind though. They’re busy due to high demand. Calm down and wait for your dynamite sandwich..Doordashers- back door pickup only. If you’re smart, you’ll snag a cheesesteak while you’re there. California cheesesteak is fantastic too.

South Philly Hoagies is a locally owned small business that I fully support and trust and have eaten at for many many years now. We normally get the same thing. 2 12” fried onion and mayo chicken cheese steak subs. Good bread, large subs and fresh ingredients. Service is quick and everyone is friendly. They do offer door dash and online ordering too although I never used that. If you need to customize an order you must call in, they can be tough to get ahold of sometimes by phone if the store is packed but keep calling, they will pick up. If you haven’t ordered here yet try it and you too will find why we LOVE South Philly Hoagies.

I’m hundreds of miles away and want one now. Awesome sandwiches. Lots of meat and peppers on the cheesesteaks and the right amount of cheese and sauce. They are always steaming hot too. The deli hoagies are great. I need to try more of the menu because they do smash burgers and fries but I just want to eat cheesesteaks every time.
