This food is just not good. I didn’t read the reviews until I got my food. My daughter chose this place because she was craving birria tacos, which was bland and unseasoned. I had the appetizer quesadillas, which was just tacos with only meat: shrimp, steak, chicken. None of which was seasoned. I asked for a side of lettuce, tomato and sour cream to help and it…just wasn’t good. I love Mexican. I’m originally from California, which is as close to authentic Mexican as you can get! Unfortunately El Valle, missed the mark. Geo, our server was great and friendly. He’s a hard worker. The restaurant uses low quality Ingredients and you can taste it. Now my sangria marg, is GOOD and strong though, however, I will not return.

I have been coming here for years and have noticed a decrease in the quality of the food. On the last 2 occasions, the food has had very little seasoning. I could have done better browning the meat at home with a packet of Taco Seasoning. The staff are tremendous and maybe there was a new cook on the previous 2 occasions I visited. I hope they can get back to the way it use to taste.

This is how I received my order. Disgusting literally soaked in oil. Tortilla was so soggy. Vegetables were too big not chopped at all. Couldn’t even eat it seriously is inedible. Oh let’s not forget the fact that they were mad I left a review. They said because I left a review they wouldn’t give me a refund. If that doesn’t show enough about their business. Super unprofessional.

I love tacos, and this seemed very promising after reading the reviews .. service was off, I think the girl was new, so she got everything wrong. I don’t understand why though, since I read the name of the dish and number (kids dish) aloud. Like how did I still get the wrong thing lol. I also asked to sub the corn shells to a flour tortilla on my order, for the up-charge like it said they offer on the menu, but that was also messed up. And finally, when things were fixed, I probably wouldn’t care to review.. but the tacos weren’t even good everything was dry, no taco sauces or anything at all was offered. Chicken was extra dry. Pork was ok, beef on taco was dry, in burritos ok. Anyways I’m not planning to come back, but this type of food made me question Mexican food. Do I even like it? If this is what authentic Mexican food taste like, then NO.

Service was prompt and friendly. The food was under seasoned (or not seasoned at all). Substitutions like rice rather than beans were not allowed. Beans were simply left off the plate and the purchase of a side was offered instead after being assured the substitution was “no problem”. There was no music playing when we arrived which made noise from other dinners distracting. We won’t be returning.

My mother lives in Matthews and this has always been our favorite place to eat on Mother’s Day. Busy, yet not the huge lines you see at all of the chain restaurants, I would recommend El Valle to anyone in the Matthews area. Food is always delicious, service always top-notch, and very friendly staff. Great place to take all moms, and I believe they give flowers to Mommy’s every year.

Very simple, and authentic Mexican restaurant. The service was no frills, prompt and attentive. I started off with a simple sautéed shrimp taco sprinkled lightly with onion and cilantro. Very delicious. There’s a lot on the menu to choose from but with help from my server I selected the no. 9 combination: a tamale and enchilada with rice and beans. It didn’t blow me away – too much cheese – but it had good flavor. As usual, when I go to Mexican restaurants I ate too much! The chips and salsa were good too….I’ll be back.

Selamlar Türk kardeşlerim ve Türkçe konuşan arkadaşlar. Burası çok iyi değil bencede… biraz pis. Uzakta dur. I would say the food is of low quality compared to before, and it is a bit dirty generally. Everything is more watered down, of less qualify, and you are given less of it. The servers seem also less careful in their work. We were forgotten by our waiter and had to find him again to get chips for the salsa he had left us. People seemed annoyed that we came in the first place. I would go somewhere else like Azteca. They also charge you for more chips and give you a very small amount. It is a waste of time to go there.
