TACO TUESDAY!!! I was in Lascassas and consulted my food list to see what might be nearby…lo and behold Fatguy Southern Kitchen was just down the road. I’ve enjoyed Ray’s BBQ here in Murfreesboro so I was looking forward to his brick & mortar place. When I arrived I met Julie who took exceptional care of me and explained the dishes. Seeing as it was Taco Tuesday she told me the tacos (Ala carte) were discounted so pick what you want and enjoy. I decided on the Pan Asian Pork and the Brisket Pineapple tacos, these are no tiny street tacos. Julie also advised me she would give me some of the mango habanero sauce she recommended for the Brisket Pineapple taco.

I used to frequent their gas station for lunch when I worked near by. I’ve stopped here to pickup orders a few times now. Great food, highly recommend the burnt end tacos. Great people, they will treat you like family.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Friendly staff. This is a great chill relaxed spot with indoor and outdoor seating. On top of this the food was delicious, FLAVORFUL and satisfying! We tried the beef brisket and brisket tacos OMG! Can’t wait to try some of the other menu items as this was our first time visiting! we didn’t capture any pictures as we were enjoying the food and moment !

Stopped here around 6pm 8/26/23 on the way back from Center Hill lake. Have read nothing but good reviews. I had wings, mac, and potato salad. Husband had brisket, mac, turnip greens, and bbq sandwich. Nothing was hot when served. Wings were cooked well but not seasoned, cornbread was good. Mac and cheese seemed like it was boxed. $75 was alittle steep for the food

I’m not sure why I saw so many 5 star reviews for this place! It was undoubtedly the worst food I’ve had in a while. We tried to eat here on a Saturday for lunch. We ordered a brisket plate and a brisket quesadilla with slaw and Texas taters. The slaw was good. The brisket was nothing but fat on both plates. It should never have been served. The potatoes were like leftovers from the night before. When we told them that we couldn’t eat the food, we were offered something different, but we were afraid to chance it. My husband paid almost $9 for a sweet tea and a few leftover potatoes. We will not be back!
