If you ever find yourself in Presidio you need to try this place. Very small, only three inside tables, and so clean. Simple menu. You do have to ask for chips and salsa. We shared the bean, cheese, and meat nachos, as we were eating later. Very good. Salsa has a great flavor.

This is a Don Quixote themed restaurant. Food is decent, as are the prices. The wait for the food was ridiculous, though. 45 minutes from the time I placed my order till the time my food arrived. The staff is super friendly and they explained that there are a lot of to-go orders and that’s why things could take a bit longer then welcome. So although I understand, still not too happy about that.

On a trip home recently from Big Bend, we drove the Beautiful Road between Terlingua and Presidio, and were rewarded by finding El Patio in Presidio! Sparkling clean restaurant, kitchen & restrooms – and oh so fantastic and yummy food! We had the Beef Tacos and El Patio Special and loved every bit of it. Wish we lived closer to enjoy more, but will be back whenever we are anywhere near Presidio! Thank you for an Oasis in the Desert!
