River City Grill & Pizzeria in Bainbridge Ga could be phenomenal, but sadly it’s not. Large restaurant, plenty of room but food didn’t meet expectations. I was one of a party of seven. Three of us ordered Pizza / Calzone – probably the wisest choice. Presented on long rectangular plates, the initial impression was good. The pork chop was a good size, but too dry to finish. No gravy, nothing. The green beans just tasted bad (vinegary maybe? Very odd… Just bad). Vegetable of the day was squash (a mixture of zucchini and yellow squash) which I usually like, but this was cooked to death and watery, very bland, no seasoning at all. The salad bar was nothing special and looked half empty. They were out of the hamburger steak and the wings. My friend ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and she said it was okay, but nothing to write home about. She did enjoy the crispy waffle fries, said she had never had waffle fries that crispy before. Out of the seven of us, none of us finished our meal, and only the three who got pizza bothered to take their food home. On a good note, server was good and kept drinks coming and asked several times if we needed anything. We left her a good tip; not her fault that the food was disappointing. I am posting pics of the food.

The flies were horrible, swarming our table, cups and plates! I counted 13 with in 5’ around our table. I don’t think it’s healthy to eat where blow flies are growing! I spent $75 for, under cooked baked potato, Raw hamburger steak and terrible pizza. The flies were EVERYWHERE including the semi covered salad bar. Disgusting!

The kitchen is quite slow. I don’t advise you to go with a large crowd.

Loved this place! Just right for a trip back from FL for us after fishing. Most excellent service, waitress so nice!! Food- perfect. The only reason I gave a 4 star for atmosphere, is the bathroom (women’s anyway) needs some attention (?) The floors were concrete just like the eating area, but the bathroom floors were sticky. I don’t mean unkept, but rather like it used to be part of the kitchen- tacky like. I will be back you can bet- it was good!

This is a great place to stop for a southern lunch or dinner. They have everything from hamburger steak, wings, chicken alfredo, etc. The amount of fried pickles we got were astounding!! The server was very nice and kept our drinks full. It feels like your typical mom and pop southern restaurant

Decent place overall. The food was good, service could have been better, but overall, the restaurant is good. The catfish was a winner! I’m glad Bainbridge is growing with a variety of food.

Rustic atmosphere, food and service were great for an inexpensive but large portioned meal. We entered wanting the fried cheesecake and left full and with plenty of leftovers for the next day!

Not like me to give bad reviews but we ate there tonight and the quality has really went down. The hamburger steak was frozen meat and the gravy tastes like it came from a cam. The grilled chicken was like eating rubber and the fries were cold. The salad bar had not been stocked at all and we had to remove the metal pan and literally dump the cheese on the salad. Used to this was a place you could go where the meat tasted fresh (which I never understood why you wouldn’t stick to doing), but now like most other restaurants, the food feels fake if that makes any sense. We will try it again in hopes that it improves, but if the quality isn’t any better next time, unfortunately we may have to cut ties with them for good. I hate leaving negative reviews but I felt like maybe the owner needed to see it to know how the quality was when he wasn’t present. Also, we had ordered the food for a good 30 minutes before being told there were no baked potatoes and we had to settle for fries and mashed potatoes. The baked potatoe was the only reason I got chicken in the first place. The food took literally over and hour to receive and the restaurant definitely wasn’t slammed. The waitress apologized that she didn’t help more frequently and said something about being busy, but if she couldn’t hang with the small crowd that was there tonight, she might not be cut out for waitressing. We still left a good tip because we believe in tips, but it was more then fair despite the service we received. Hope next time is better! Looking forward to seeing!

Went here on a recommendation on a date with my wife, who has severe seafood allergies. When we informed the waitress of the allergy she DID do her due diligence and found out for us that the grill is NOT cleaned between orders, even when an allergy is known to be existing in the establishment. The fryer is “missing pieces that they are waiting on parts for” so only one fryer in operation that seafood is fried in. So wife had salad bar which she reported as being sub par, especially having paid over $10 for one trip. I did not eat due to the wife’s severe allergy being one that I could transfer to her if I eat shellfish or things that have come into contact with such.

My wife and I both had the Philly Steak Hoagie. We were both sick for two days. While waiting for or food, I had a view of the kitchen and saw the cook take something off my wife’s hoagie and eat it. We should have left then without eating. Seems like a nice place but we won’t be going back.
