I wanted so badly to like this place because it’s so close to home, but every time I order anything from here it just tastes horrible. And we’re not a picky eaters at all it just tastes like slimy microwaved food. And they never give me noodles when I order chow mein. Which is weird because chow mein is literally just a Chinese dish of fried noodles with your choice of stir in meat. So when I get chicken chow mein I literally just get a container of fried lettuce (yes lettuce idk why), cabbage and chicken. No chow mein with my chow mein?.. I kept giving this place chances but after spending close to 80$ here so far and never liking a single bite I won’t be coming back 🙁

The first time I went here I wasn’t expecting much. The China House has a very typical run of the mill small time business. From the cookie cutter menu, to the signs you always see in the worst Chinese restaurants. Let me tell you, the food is much better than you ever could have expected from a place like this. Most of the food is very good for the price and type of restaurant.

This place can be hit or miss. A few things you should know is that it is CASH ONLY, which is a bit offputting nowadays; and avoid the fried rice. The rest of what I got was good though. If I return, I’ll try to swap out the fried rice for white rice if they allow it.

The food was hot and very good. Only complaint is the Hungarian beef sauce leaked all over the to go bag and we had to wipe off all the containers before setting them on our table.
