I cannot emphasize how great of an experience this was. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken with potatoes and grilled asparagus, and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was even better than I could have hoped for. Abbye did a great job taking care of me. The attention to detail was outstanding. These days it is very hard to find exceptional service, so I was extremely happy to see how much of a priority it is here. This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in recent memory, and certainly the best that I have ever had in Starkville.

Great food great service, definitely one of the best places we’ve found since moving to Mississippi. NY Strip with Bleu cheese, and the prime rib were cooked to perfection. The brown butter cake was delicious. They have a wonderful bourbon selection as well. We’ll definitely be going back.

We were visiting Starkville for a chess tournament our son was playing in, and we had time to kill. We stopped by Harvey‘s for lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very nice, the decor is more upscale than we expected, and the food was delicious. The crawfish and pimento dip was a great way to start the meal, and because it was our very first time dining there, the manager comped the appetizer for free. The service was wonderful, and our waitress was attentive and extremely friendly. I had the blackened catfish over the cheese grits, and my husband had the ribeye with the grits. I don’t think we could’ve been any happier.

This well-established restaurant is a good choice for a dependably tasty and comfortable meal. The server was very attentive in refilling our drinks. The booths are very comfortable. I had the shrimp and grits which was pleasingly spicy and surprised me with the pieces of ham mixed in.

It’s a Starkville staple where you can’t go wrong. Get the prime rib. It’s always good. I like to add shrimp. I also added truffle butter for $5 and you’ll see how much they gave me in the pic. NOT $5 worth. Been coming here since ’91 so I chalked it up to our new economy since 2020.

Service is not what it use to be! I thought a quiet Sunday evening would be good to go and avoid a huge crowd. We got seated over by the bathrooms, at a booth where you could see dead flies and other insects on the window sills and the lamp on the dining table had dust on it. Both of those alone had me thinking to get up and walk out. That is very unsanitary right where someone is expected to eat. Then, in the bathroom, there is a TV with dust on the cord from when God created Adam. Not to mention, we had to wait a long time for our food, the waitress didn’t keep us updated about it, I had to ask another worker coming by. When my food came it was cold, I sent it back to be heated. It was good once it was warmed. It’s cleanliness has gone down hill from last year. Maybe short of staff that day? We could have been informed. That’s just good customer service and then we would have taken it better. Not in a hurry to go back!

An extremely nice find in a college town. Within walking distance the Hampton Inn. Super friendly and attentive bartenders. Nice and reasonable happy hour menu. Very nice selection of wines. I’ve been here twice. The food was very good both times, but if you haven’t tried it, get the Delta chicken. One of the best chicken dishes that I’ve ever had. I look forward to trying their steaks, but be prepared to pay up. Beef isn’t cheap these days. The menu is varied and there should be something to please everyone in your party.

Harvey’s in Starkville was very good. The lighting was just enough. The atmosphere was pleasant. We had appetizers of fried mushrooms, delicious. I chose to have fried chicken on a salad. The chicken tenders are crispy and juicy. Junior was our server, he was very attentive.
