My first time eatting at Pappas soul food and I can’t complain!! Everything was fresh and season just right . Best to go early , they sell out sides quick ! Everything was so good !! Update: everything was that good, I went back the next day to try the spaghetti and meatballs. Very fulfilling and delicious!

My previous experience was better. The highlight here was the pork chop. The pork chop was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The rice was bland and the gravy was standard fare. The green beans were bland and seemed canned and not cooked down. The greens were sweet but not impressive. The coke machine was broken. Hopefully it will be better next time.

It took 15 minutes for the child to take our order. They were out of 3 sides. She tipped herself after I was given my total. Once I realized this I went to the counter for a refund. The child went to the back and came back out. She never said anything. So I asked about the refund and she snapped at me that somebody was coming. And then mumbled under her breath. When I said excuse me? She said I WASNT EVEN TALKIN TO YOU!!! BABY I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THEM AGAIN!!! Had they shown a little sense of urgency, and not tried to tip themselves I would have stayed. They USED TO BE GOOD!

08/02/2023 First off the so call mgr at the front is very slow taking orders i had to ask was order ready the food was horrible i had turkey wing plate it was not done no season at all yams was sugary mac cheese was soupy as hell i told the young mgr to give me my money back and then she gave back extra $ but she a MGR THO SMH an who ever the cook is dont know how to cook i will never order nothing from there again period.

I went to Papa’s for the first time and was very satisfied! I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, the overall value was definitely worth the price. The atmosphere was very inviting, clean and staff was very pleasant. I will definitely patronize in the near future!

For starters, the cornbread dressing ain’t nothing but sweet cornbread and chicken broth to loose no seasoning. The greens straight out the can not season meat just plain, the gravy has no taste they just made gravy on the side of a grilled pork hop. WILL NOT WASTE MY MONEY AGAIN!!

I’ve eaten here before but Lord this time I ordered 2 fish plates and they were both horrible. The fish tasted like someone had thawed them out in hot water and fried them the potato salad was dry and unseasoned and the customer service was not that great either…I do not recommend at all

Best fried pork chop I’ve ever eaten. The catfish is AWARD WINNING. Love the staff and the lady who took my order – she’s fun! I’ve been here a few times and love to come back. Truly a Soul Food destination!!
