Came here with my dad for the first time today and we were not disappointed. He had the Borda torta and I had the milanesa torta. Both were INCREDIBLE. We got there just as they opened so their freshly made bread was still warm and soft and perfect. I believe his name was Rodrigo, was very attentive and explained the menu very well. The restaurant itself was decorated nicely and was pretty quiet which I enjoy. We were given chicharron in green salsa in little cups which was good but HOLY HECK THAT STUFF WAS SPICY, so definitely try that cautiosly. My dad was still feeling the burn like 30 minutes after we left. Over all, we had a good time with delicious food and will definitely be back!

Saw this place on Tiktok and it’s close to where I live so decided to stop by. The meat and veggies tasted good but the bread was hard although it was fresh and toasted. The combo comes with chips and a drink but there were only 4 types of chips to choose from. Maybe increase the variety of chips and try to soften up the bread. The service was great. The cashier was very helpful and asked if it was our first time. They also bring out your food to the table and bring sauces that compliment the torta.

Truly an amazing experience. Great food, great atmosphere, and great owner. Got the Torta la Barda, Torta de Ribeye, and the Ensalada de Cilantro but didnt get to take a picture of the Barda since it looked so good. Amazing! Thank you

Beautiful new restaurant atmosphere and service are great for a quick lunch. La Torteria has any variations of tortas, vegetarian dishes, soups and salads for all taste buds. Don’t forget a dessert.

Everything about the experience was top notch. The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The food was flavorful the bread was fresh. The prices were reasonable for the quality and amount of food you received. The atmosphere of the small restaurant was clean, modern, and relaxing. 100% going to be going back.

The food was delicious, the bread is freshly made, crispy from the outside and soft from the inside. I tried the Torta Portuguesa, it was really really good, it has beans, avocado, ham, Milanesa and Oaxaca cheese. The Oaxaca cheese melts really well and when you take a bite the cheese strings. The cashier/host was very attentive. You have to try the horchata (its home made) and the arroz con leche dessert. They are both delicious.

Cannot give La Torteria enough praise! Such a fantastic experience. The staff was so friendly, the restaurant was spotless clean, the food was fresh and delicious. Even the music and decor were top notch! Best torta I’ve had in the RGV. The homemade salsas, beverages, and soups were phenomenal, too. Can’t wait to go back!!!!
