I’m not gonna lie, it was about a 3.5/5 as far as the food goes. Decent, I would say average but I have had better. That being said, it is great Mexican food for Colfax but that is a low standard. However free chips and salsa and easy parking go a long way toward making it a good experience.

Perhaps Mi Ranchito restaurant is still working out it’s kinks, but I wasn’t impressed. The food was subpar and not as authentic as I had hoped. My taco salad lacked flavor and only had dark chicken meat. The rice at the bottom of my salad was mushy. On top of that, the prices seemed inflated for the small town of Colfax. My chicken taco salad was fifteen dollars. I would recommend the restaurant have a sign at the entrance to tell the customers to order at the counter. Also, cover the sticky reside on the tables with tablecloths.

This is my favorite Mexican food place they do have some plant based options. I have never had any negative experience with their food is always consistent in flavor and quality!. The employees and the owners are welcoming, kind, and respectful I have never had any negative experiences with them either. The atmosphere is positive and upbeat!. So thankful for what Mi ranchito does they are truely a blessing

We had chicken enchiladas and a fajita plate. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. The fajitas in particular were amazing. We had to ask for a container for what we couldn’t finish. Sadly, the container was styrofoam (which should not contact food) — that’s the only thing I wish were different.

I usually don’t leave a rating, one way or another, but was shocked to see the 4.5 * rating here. This was by far, the worst “Mexican” food I’ve ever had! Tiny portions, “chicken” in the enchiladas not sure. Rice and beans were tasteless and unauthentic. Green sauce was runny and made the tortillas dissolve. Just awful. Would NEVER recommend.

Sadly without the sauce the meat was not very flavorful. Shredded chicken had the most flavor, but it was overwhelmed by the corn tortilla and cheese.

I like this place overall I’m just not into the music being so loud and think it would be nicer (for me personally, I don’t expect a change due to my review, I’m just giving my input) if the Mexican music had less vocalized songs since a majority of ppl that come here don’t speak fluent Spanish but have to listen to songs with words they mostly don’t understand which for some can be sad. I love the Mexican music, I like that vibe a lot, it would just be nicer if they had more instrumental songs playing here in my opinion and a little less loud. The fajitas I got last time were bland sadly. Maybe that’s how they’re meant to be though? Not sure. They didn’t seem flavored with salt or anything. I’ve had really good food here before though And the workers are really awesome. Glad this place is here.
