The margherita slice had a lot of seasoning (especially thyme) which I loved, but there was not a lot of sauce and it ended up tasting like a saltine. Two dudes also got into a fist fight while I was there

The slices were delicious and even though this place is a hole in the wall the pizza was so good. It was priced like a normal nyc slice so not too expensive. But it was so good. We just wanted a quick bite before going out and this was perfect. Would recommend for something fast and on the go.

This place charges tips after the fact. They must be adding tips on receipts after you leave and forging the receipt totals. Got a notification on my phone 3 days after visiting here that my account was overdrawn and when I contacted my bank they said Little Gio’s transaction had the authorization amount changed. What’s worse is we even left a tip anyway!

Oh man this is the real deal. Thin crust, hint of oregano, true NY style slice pizza, heated and re-crisped in the oven before serving it to you.

I don’t know why the pizza here is some of the best in the city, it just is! I really like the regular slices. The crust is really nice, the dough is dense and I love the sauce. Really nice staff. I can get up to 3 slices at a time if the pie is coming hot out of the oven.

I’m a chef in the East Village, and have lived in NYC for over 30 years…that a lot of pizza! The reason why I keep going back to little Gio’s is the pizza crust is thin, crunchy and has a bit of a sourdough hint, the sauce has a perfect balance of acidity and garlic, and the cheese is fresh! Well done!!!

I have eaten pizza all over the world, and this is fundamentally the best I’ve had.
