The food is great. The place is clean. The lighting is adequate. The paintings are so vivid and natural. I love the Haitian ambiance. The staff is very nice. We celebrated there with a group of 20+ people and they all had fun. Some of them flew from Canada and Spain and stated they were so happy to taste Haitian seasonings and flavors. Thank you all for making this a great time. We felt home.

Food and music delish. You know Caribbean host have attitudes but they were nice enough that can always improve. Deejay was pretty good playing a range of music expected kompa and rumba and afrobeats and kozumba and more. Atmosphere is decent the entry fee is stupid since the food pricey for small portions but I would splurge again.

I ordered food here for the first time. I had a pretty large order, their pork, vegetable stew, fried red snapper, macaroni, and 2 different types of rices. Everything was delicious! The service was great, and the restaurant was nice and clean. Everyone was patient and explained the menu to me. I highly recommend and will absolutely be going back.

My cousin and I have gone to one of the best Haitian restaurants in the tri-state(NY,NJ,& CT), First Republic Lounge & Restaurant on April 16,2022. Our waiter (recommended our drinks) & service was great. The food was amazing,(not to greasy and or oily). The drinks were okay(I thought it would have been strong). It was kinda pricey (in my opinion) but it was worth every penny. Great service,will always get a great tip from me. It wasn’t my first time there and it won’t be my last time. I highly recommend you go there.

I have been to this place a few times but this is my first review. When I arrived I parked on the street and walked in. I was greeted by the bartender and she was very nice and had good conversation. I ordered a sangria and the vegitarian legume with black rice to go. The sangria was pretty good and so was the punch drink I ordered. The food usually takes long to come out so I am glad I had my drink while I waited. The food finally arrived and I paid about $47 for 2 drinks and the food. When I got home I dug in and it was pretty good and there was plenty. I had a pretty good experience.

Nice cozy spot to eat and relax. They have parties there alot which is great for publicity. Decor and atmosphere is great. Full bar. Love the fact that it’s a haitian restaurant that is legit and been up and running for awhile.

Excellent spot for Haitian cuisine. Beef Legume was amazing. Paired deliciously with the rice and sweet plantains. And of course the Pikliz which is always a must. The Akra for an appetizer was an excellent choice.

Hands down the best meal I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. This dish was phenomenal. I asked our server to tell the chef how amazing it was. The atmosphere was welcoming, the menu is small, so I can understand why the food was so delicious. If I’m still ever in New Jersey again, I’ll definitely make a point to go back to First Republic.

The food was amazing and ambiance but the service was not good the waitress was rude. She did not clean the chair properly and gum was stuck on my friends jacket. After informing them, the staff would not help to get the gum out with ice or any remedy. The waitress proceeded to mess up our drink order and role her eyes. And we had reservations at 7:30pm we had to wait a half hour to ve seated. Then was rushed to leave when another party came in. I was very disappointed with the customer service.
