I made a 4 hour round trip JUST to eat here & I would gladly do it again! I can’t say enough good things about this place, from the quaint atmosphere, friendly owners and the phenomenal food. I tried several different kekas recommended by the owner and never had a bad dish. The prices are unbelievably low especially for the huge servings. The hibiscus tea was so refreshing & fragrant. This was just an all around perfect experience ❤️

The place was very clean and food outstanding and delicious. I love the presentation of the food. The beans stayed hot throughout the meal due to the ceramic bowl and lid they were served in. The place reminded me of when I would eat at my grandmother’s place in old Mexico and the taste of the food. If could give more than 5 starts I would give a 10. This place is one of the best restaurants that I’ve eaten Mexican food so far. And in my opinion one if not the best places to eat when here in Laredo Texas. The owner and staff were getting, polite and make you feel at home like if your at a relatives house. Great job!!! Great food!!!!

Oh my gosh! Las Kekas, where have you been all my life? Why is no one else making these amazing little bundles of goodness all over the country? This was a delightful stop on our long RV journey from Middle GA to West Texas. We have been sampling a variety of local cuisines and this one was unique, delicious and so friendly and helpful with two non-Spanish speaking gringoes. We loved trying a Mayan take on Latin cuisine with very fresh ingredients and very generous portions. Than you, thank you for a lovely dinner!

I took a chance on this place I saw on google maps with 4.5 star rating. When I got there it was empty but I trusted the ratings so I sat down and ordered. The service was outstanding the food was delicious and different not your typical San Antonio jalisco. The poblano rice was the bomb and the tamarindo sauce was something I never had but oh I tasted so good. I’m glad I took a chance this place did not disappoint.

Las Kekas is one of those out-of-the-way, hole-in-the-wall places that locals know about and love, and tourists are happy to find. The parking is very small so carpool if you have a large party. The Mayan kekas were fresh and delicious. Don’t be scared of the “corn smut” or Huitlacoche, do yourself a favor and try it! For desert the tres leches cake was huge, moist, and shareable.

This place has a unique cuisine. I order 3 different fillings for the KEKAS ( chicharrón en salsa verde, picadillo Norteño and rajas and a Super fajita taco. The KEKAS were good and crunchy, truly a different experience. The super fajita taco lacked a lot of flavor, definitely not worth the $15. Place had good ambiance and the owners were very friendly but I don’t see myself returning.

Everything we look for in a restaurant…great food, covered outdoor seating so our dog can partake, and friendly service! It’s a win! The Kekas platter selection was outstanding. Give it a try.
