Open 6AM to 2PM. Stopped for breakfast. Fresh omelette and hashbrowns with sourdough toast, plenty of coffee. It appears from signs that the business is for sale.

New owner as of July, 2023. I’m impressed. It is in good hands. The food is delicious. The service is excellent and you will enjoy reading all of the signs posted around. We have driven past several times but will plan on stopping from now on.

Didn’t make it in time for the cafe. The cafe was open 6am-2pm but the store was still open. The lady that worked there was very nice and gave us some history of the town.

Great stop on the way going West past Lake McConaughy. There were options for lunch that were specials for the day. The loaded burrito was good and plenty of food.

Stayed 1 night at Oregon Trail Trading Post Campground at $31.60 per night with FHU. This 12 site campground is just a basic campground, W/E/S with shade trees. Very few residents were present and the road noise, while present subsided after dark. Paying at the Trading Post was quick and easy. The sites were mostly level, but the sewer connection are on the wrong side at several sites. Water pressure was at 30 PSI. I received NO OTA TV stations. Verizon and AT&T worked well. There is an active train track near-by but there are no crossing’s near-by requiring a train horn. There is no bathrooms or showers. No pool or kiddy playground.
