Our Mexican dishes originated from the regions of Tepatitlan, Jalisco. As a family-owned business, our unique cooking and dishes were taught by our mother, a native to the Jalisco area. Using fresh, authentic ingredients were and still continue to be vital in creating any of our dishes. Authentic Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles, CA aren’t easy to come by. That’s why it was important for our family to bring an original taste of our native land to such a popular, modern location like Santa Monica. We want the community to get a taste of what authentic Mexican food is like as well as taste the various flavors and seasonings that we know so well.
We always strive to make every customers’ experience unique and pleasant.

Always a great experience..having a spicy margarita or their delicious food. It is a Santa Monica family owned business. The customer service is impeccable, and you are treated as familia. A place to include on your visit to the promenade.

Horrible service and greasy food. Our server Cristina was unprofessional and unknowledgeable on the menu. My friend ordered shrimp tacos and they brought her fish and didn’t even cover her tab. The tacos were so inedible she was unable to finish them. She was still charged for the tacos. I ordered a chicken tostada salad which had a disgusting amount of rice and beans in it. I also ordered a house margarita with well tequila and jalapeños. The waitress charged me for one of the craft cocktails instead and when I tried to ask about it said they don’t do house margaritas. Why would she not mention this when I asked for one at the beginning on the meal. In addition they have a mandatory 18% gratuity for parties of 2 or more and charge $1.95 if you request more chips and salsa. Pass on this place, plenty of better options in the area.

Good choice if you are at the 3rd street promenade. They hit all the marks. The restaurant decor is beautiful, and food was a 10/10. Good place for catching up with lived ones.

You’re basically paying for the location. The food was good but nothing special. Definitely over priced

I didn’t know about this place and my wife and I were so fortunate to find it. The place was clean and very festive with the live mariachi music, but most importantly the food was delicious. Now I have reason to come back again. Did i mention the costumer service was fantastic?

The food was overpriced and bad and the place is under staffed. The bar tender was doubling up as the waiter and was doing his best. We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas and Chicken Tacos. Both were quite disappointing. Gratuity was added without consent before we received the check.

Very disappointed. First off, a meal for two totaled out to be $126. One asada plate, 2 shrimp tacos, esquites ($17) and one margarita. The server gave us a drink menu, told us it was outdated, gave us a new one, and told us the happy hour specials were being honored, but only the drinks. One option was “$12 any margarita.” When we got the bill, it was full priced. I asked what happened and he told me that the menu I had was outdated… the same one he had corrected already. He didn’t say sorry, didn’t offer to honor the accidental menu price he gave me. Just walked off. They gave us chips and salsa. No napkins, no silver ware. They gave us our food – no napkins, no silverware. We had to ask for everything. Fork, napkins, straw… etc. The asada plate was good, but not $34 good. It didn’t even come with limes. We had to ask for those too. How does a Mexican restaurant not shower you with limes?! My wife ordered a ginger ale. They gave her a plastic bottle of Canada Dry. The “La Paloma” margarita is just tequila and squirt = $18. They also charge a %18 service fee – there were two of us.

Great Mexican Food in the heart of Santa Monica. Pictured are chicken quesadilla and wet veggie burrito. High quality ingredients that are distinguishable in taste.

I love the margaritas at Casa Martin. The staff is incredible, and the food is authentic. Plus, the venue is gorgeous. You can even eat outdoors on the promenade. The drinks are pricey.

Decent place for Mexican food. I stoped by for drinks and apps. Their tortilla chips were not the best to be honest, guacamole was delish!
