If I could give the food 6 stars I would! I got Adrian’s Special and it was phenomenal. Chips and salsa came with drinks and the salsa was spicy and very flavorful. The chips were fresh and delicious. Prices were very fair and portions were very large! Will definitely make a return trip

On a trip with students from Oklahoma to Arizona,we stopped here for lunch and liked it so much we stopped for dinner on the way back the next week. Maybe the best Mexican food I’ve ever had.

Just cannot say enough about the friendly service, and great tasting, large portions. One of the owners came out talked with me, and proudly talked about recent expansion project to restaurant. We booked for large party and more than anticipated showed up. No problem, Abby the owner, handled us like a Boss, shifted gears and accommodated our large party like just another day at the office. What an absolute professional with the greatest smile and grace this side of the Rio Grande River. The staff was stellar, efficient, friendly and attentive. Must go to when in town. I cast my vote for Michelin star rating. Bravo!

2nd time visiting La Cita and it’s just as good as a year ago! Genuine Mexican food at its best! One star down for service and atmosphere only because it was full and that made the dining area very clustered. Will be visiting again in the future!

I don’t usually review restaurants because taste varies so much for everyone, but this place was great, and not just because of the food! I got one of each bean and cheese burrito with red or green chilis and they were both so good!

Absolutely the best all around. Even though our large group came in right at closing, Maria served us with a smile. We have a very picky eater, and the staff did amazing accommodating him. The food was the best Tex Mex I have ever eaten. Period. I am so going to miss this place when we leave. The waitresses were super friendly and very attentive. A+++++++

Grace has to be the most pleasant attribute to this restaurant. She understood that I had been working all day and didn’t want to sit at the table next to the party of 1000(my headache said it was that many). She move me with no hesitation to what I called the “granny section”. The waitress on this side of the room was very unwelcoming and didn’t even speak. She finished up her customers all nice and bubbly and proceeded to clean her section with the help of the 10 yr old buss boy( really cute). When she was done she said that the best part of her shift was “……having a beer afterwards”…,WHO? I know you not talking to lil ole me …. Grace saved the day on this one.

Stopped here while travelling through town. The service was stellar…the food was amazing…and the prices were phenomenal! There were three of us and we each had something different, and we were all happy with our orders. We also loved the chips and salsa! The food was fresh and hot, and the portions were enough for leftovers. I definitely recommend La Cita!

Staying the night in Tucumcari and ask the receptionist where to eat. She recommended La Cita. Glad she did. Food was great. Price was good. Our waitress was informative. Highly recommend going here.

How can you pass up a place with a 20’ tall concrete sombrero on the roof? Whoever built that deserves the public’s unending gratitude. It’s these landmarks that define a place and give a neighborhood and a city it’s identity.
