Forced to buy bottled water 20 cent GFS for $1.50. They have no tap water or ice or cups available. Destroys the sit down experience vs competitors. I wont be going back. If this is the policy then make it bring your own beverage.

Yesterday as a family, we went to the The Smoke Doctor for the first time at about 4:00pm. We got the brisket, the sampler platter, the coleslaw, baked beans, mac and cheese, loaded potatoes, and collard greens. It was all good, but here was our favorites in order: thick brisket, pull pork, ribs and chicken. All of us (mom, dad and 2 high school aged sons) felt the mac and cheese could have been a little cheesier, but all other sides received high marks.

I was just there. I ordered some pulled pork and it was okay.. the thick cut brisket was way too fatty and way over priced….corn bread was okay. I can make that at home. The employees were arguing the entire time I was there. The I44 potatoes from the previous owners they still offer…again okay. All in all. Mediocre

A little hole-in-the-wall place with BBQ so hood none of us even opened our sauce. Why cover perfection? I am not a greens person but after overhearing another customer decided to give it a try and they are so tender and flavored with ham hocks that I’m sold and will get them every time. Another Smoke Doctor will open soon but don’t wait. Well worth the 30+ mile drive to get there!
