I went to Cafe Notte to celebrate a friend’s birthday during Restaurant Week. We hadn’t heard of it before, but the menu looked delicious. We were completely happy with all of the food, but especially the crab cakes, salmon, risotto, broccolini, and short ribs. The service was phenomenal! We’ll definitely come back to enjoy this special restaurant.

We just went to Cafe Notte during Pittsburgh restaurant week, the food was delicious! Particularly the chicken with rosemary cream sauce – it was spectacular. It provided a nice balanced flavor with the rosemary and the chicken was cooked perfectly moist. House wine was good. Dessert – tiramisu & berry cake – tasted so fresh. What a gem!

We had passed Cafe Notte many times, and were anxious to finally dine there. We were seated in due time, and the server brought us water. That was it! She never returned to our table after we ordered our drinks. Another group of 5 came in after us and their server immediately took their orders. After waiting almost 20 minutes, we left. The Hostess asked us if we enjoyed our meals. We told her what had happened and she was very apologetic. I should add that the place was not busy at all. Only two other tables were being used. I wasn’t overly impressed with the decor, but the treatment we were given only made us decide to never, ever go here again.

I went here for a family reunion. It’s a very old building with a lot of character. We had a great time here even though the food was really not that good. The beef was full of fat. The chicken was dry. The potatoes were awful. They were very short staffed but the staff that was there worked very hard. Not my favorite place.

Recently had a reception here and cannot thank the staff enough for their effort in making it a great experience. Family and friends have shared that they loved the food, the venue, and that the whole flow of the evening went seamlessly. Debbie is such a gem and really helped my family in pulling everything off. They were very accommodating to us in terms of decorating and how we wanted the party to go. They were also responsive to us prior to the day of the event with any questions or concerns my family had.

Let me start by saying the food was great. The texture of the pasta was really terrific. Tasted homemade. The pasta dishes are supposed to come with bread. After asking for some, we were told they ran out “last night.” Like nobody could run to a grocery store earlier in the day? Also, we were told there were no tables available, and had to sit at the bar, yet there were many empty tables which were still empty when we left. Maybe they meant not enough staff? Then, sitting at the bar, we were privy to complaining servers every time they picked up their drink orders. Kind of ruins the atmosphere.
