This is our go to Ethiopian restaurant in Denver. My wife and I love this place and their food is consistently delicious and flavourful. We love the Shiro, Gomen and Veggie combo. Don’t forget asking for their Mitmita spice, makes everything taste more amazing

Amazing food and exquisite flavors. One of the best Ethiopian restaurants I’ve eaten at. Reasonably priced. Low-key atmosphere. It’s definitely worth a visit!

If you haven’t tried this cuisine before then this is the perfect place to try. It seems like a lot of locals frequent this spot and for good reason. I got their beef and veggie platter and it was really good. The flavors weren’t crazy overpowering and it seemed healthy too. I like how it comes in a big platter to share. This was a home run but I wish they had lamb when I went. Guess I’ll have to come again. Oh and the sambusa was very flaky and crispy. Highly recommend starting off with those.

My second favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Denver (it’s a vlose second). The selection of vegetarian options is varied and yummy. Lucy has more of an atmosphere of catering to the local Ethiopian community, so I expect the flavors are authentic (never been to Ethiopia, so don’t know for sure). We’ve never had trouble finding a table here, nor attitude from the staff, which is always a plus when compared to other local Ethiopian places. Even though I have a few favorite dishes, we always just get the vegetarian combos and enjoy as many flavors as possible. They will serve those combos either indivually or family style, so I may just ask for extra spicy on my plate, and let my wife have her standard.
