Worth the drive!! The tacos are massive and super filling. Service is really quick and it’s fun to see them make the tortillas. (And the tortillas are INCREDIBLE.)

Great taco spot with the freshest tortillas I’ve had in awhile. Loved the chicken mole enchilada lunch special, which was also reasonably priced. Gonna have to try some of the breakfast tacos next time.

Fast service, friendly and festive atmosphere. I enjoy coming to meet friends to talk over breakfast. Great coffee. Breakfast plates and salsa lack flavor. Potatoes were dry, refried beans lacked flavor and salsa was bland. Just my opinion and I’ve been here twice for only breakfast. I will come back to try something different next time.

The food appears to be good WeI ordered 2 plates Eggs Ranchero was great rice was very crunchy under cooked no flavor wont be ordering that , the enchiladas plate no good they use white corn and the sauce was tomato sauce from the can yucky! The place is clean you also have to clam a table before you get your food and clean it your self … Tortillas are on point very freash. Oh the cashier didn’t have much information to share about the food at all not good for business!

Good tacos, good size and good tortillas. Wasn’t crazy about not getting a bacon slice on my bacon and potato taco though (see photo). Plates were a bit pricey but I was there to check out the tacos…they’re good and yet not quite five stars.

A few tables were available but had not been cleaned off. The staff was too busy watch the soccer game on TV. We stood around waiting to have one of the tables cleaned off. I ordered the beef fajita plate, rice and beans. The fajitas were super tender but bland in taste as was the rice and the refried beans. The beans need more substance to them. I ordered a bowl of menudo for $9.00. It came in a small Styrofoam container/cup. The size and portion was definitely not worth that amount, however the menudo was dark, very tender meat and good tasting. My brother ordered the beef enchiladas. We had similar thoughts on the rice and beans. He said the enchiladas were just ok, not worth ordering again. The tortillas are very good tasting, good thickness and soft. Some of the best tortillas I’ve ever had. Upon my observations it appears that 95% of customers were eating tacos, not plates. I’ve been here for breakfast before. I was satisfied with breakfast Tacos. Lunch just didn’t cut it for me.

The carnitas is so good! A great mix of skin and meat! All of it was tender and delicious. The beans are by far, some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The flavor was so delicious! The tortillas are so good! Taste just like homemade. I only regret, not taking some to go. The chips and queso are great, although the chips were a bit hard, and greasy, although fresh. Everything was so good! I’ve found my new favorite spot for sure! The restrooms were clean and tidy. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.

Taco’s were a good size. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy again. We did get a lb of barbacoa which was not greasy that’s a +. And tortillas are in house made ++.

I stopped by for lunch today. The employees were friendly and helpful. I had a cheese enchilada plate. The enchiladas, rice and beans were muy authentico. The salsa was tasty and spicy. My bro had some yummy looking tacos. This place is legit. I’ll be back next time I’m in Helotes.

I have been struggling with this review. Had to go with 3⭐️’s as they had some amazing menu items and others that were bland and uninspired. My chicken mole enchiladas were wonderful. My mom’s Carne Guisada was moist, tender and exceptional. And the hand rolled flour tortillas were astounding. In contrast, the refried beans were bland and soupy, the potatoes were seasoned like the Spanish rice, which didn’t work for us. Sides were served Luke warm. Cleanliness was a problem too. I wiped down our table, before we sat down, and had to pick up potato and sausage pieces on the floor. We did lunch platters which are not the focus of the menu. I recommend sticking with the large taco’s in a wide variety and stay away from lunch plates.
