Currently owned and managed by Brandi and Lynnette Easley, Wolf’s Den was first established in 1981 by Bob and Diane Wolf. They pride themselves on their impressive 10-ounce fresh, never frozen burger patties that attract customers from towns far and wide across the northeastern Nebraska landscape. They even launched a “triple burger challenge” this past year that challenges only the hungriest of patrons to down a ridiculous 30-ounce burger!

Oh boy, let me tell you about this food joint! It’s not just amazing, it’s “mouthwateringly, tummy-rumblingly, taste bud-dancingly” amazing! The portions are so generous, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled into a food Olympics for giants. And the price? Well, it’s like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, only instead of gold, it’s a plate of deliciousness. I swear, you’ll feel like you’re robbing the place! I already can’t wait to come back and stuff my face with more scrumptiousness. If food could have a fan club, count me in as the president!

Amazing food and wonderful people! This is a fantastic little out-of-the-way place with one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had! I will definitely be back, and would recommend this place to everyone. It’s very casual, and the prices are excellent.

Amazing place, from the food to the service. Even the customers are friendly. Read the fine print, 10oz burger patties and I ordered a double!!!

This is truly one of the most special hidden gems in the state. We have to hit Wolf’s Den any time we’re in the area at our hunting ground. The burger is literally an entire pound of meat piled onto a bun for the price of any regular old burger elsewhere. The breakfast has the same kinds of enormous portions, and they’ve got a soft serve ice cream machine that our toddler loves!

Burgers so big we all thought they were 16 oz steaks on a bun!

The Wolf’s Den boasts they have the best hamburger in Northeast Nebraska and it’s true. The large patty is simply delicious and on the weekends the salad bar provides another option than the tasty sides offered daily. If you can’t decide from the options on the menu try the daily special it’s always a great choice.

The food is fantastic. Portions are huge. We try to eat here every two months or so and are always well pleased when we do.

Small place in a small town and I was pleasantly surprised. Super country, but extremely friendly and comfortable. We tried a variety of things and while the food isn’t fancy, it was rather satisfying. My steak was very tender and surprisingly juicy, despite being medium and not the rare I ordered.

Absolutely horrible customer service on Saturday. We walked in with six people. What is the ladies that work there stared us down and shook her. Head from side to side will giving us a dirty look. She then proceeded to aggressively tell us “ITS AN HOUR WAIT”. We stood there, flabbergasted. We later found out that she has done this numerous customers, I was looking forward to eating there after many years being away from Nebraska, but I will never go back there again
