I have reviewed before and I’ll do it again. Peter curates an incredible experience in this small, lovely restaurant. The food is always good, and yet every time I try something new I am pleasantly surprised to find it delicious, interesting, and carefully made. Hats off to the chef, Matt, once again for an excellent experience last night.

I had a great experience popping in for a glass of wine, which turned into a few more and a delicious dinner special of curry chicken. Peter knows his stuff about the wine and cocktails they serve and went above and beyond to create a great guest experience. I would recommend this spot for a stop in, and the locals seen to recommend it as a frequent destination.

The scallop po’ boy had more scallops than most lobster rolls have lobster! Spicy and delicious. The cauliflower app was perfect- the fresh mint was a nice touch. Baked Brie was incredible. Reasonable prices for reasonable portions. Small space with a great atmosphere and good vibes. 10/10 would recommend

We’re only in the area once or twice a year, but this has been on the list for a while. We’re so glad we went!!! We went within a half hour of opening because we were on a time constraint and we heard so many great things that we wanted to take our time. Unfortunately the menu was down (online only) for the first 30 min but the knowledgeable staff quickly helped us find exactly what we wanted to drink (a top shelf whiskey and a glass of red wine). The menu issue was resolved in short order and we order food— bar olives, meatballs, baked Brie, vegetable flat bread and the steak. The bar olives were yummy! The meatballs were perfect- moist but meaty in a fresh, no frills tomato sauce. Exactly what you want to highlight the meat ball. The baked Brie was perfect but then that’s my favorite cheese, soooo no complaints… I didn’t get a taste of the flat bread so you know it must be good and the steak was so delicious I almost didn’t share despite all my promises to and my stomach was so full from all the other food! We will definitely be returning when we’re back in the area! Thank you, Brix Bistro!!!

We came here for dinner after reading the good reviews, then everything went south from there. Ordered the flatbread as in the picture, which was actually not bad. The problem was with the steak, which not only tastes like rubber, but stints! It literally smells rotten, and easily the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The host did take it off our bill, so 5 star for the service, but zero star for the food. Will never be back again.

Highly recommend this place for a great place to mingle, meet and laugh with your party. The food is great with a a variety of flavors and spice. The service was supreme and Pete was a delightful host.

My wife, Chris, her neice, Carrie, and I had dinner at Brix for the first time tonight. We had a great time and the food was fantastic. The three of us casually shared maybe six appetizers over an hour or so. We’d finish one dish and Peter would soon bring out another. It was a Five Star evening for the three of us and we’ll be returning again soon.

The food isn’t terrible. The menu is a bit limited and it was well executed, if a bit plain. The biggest issue is the service, and the atmosphere…as in the literal air. The dining room became incredibly smoky during our dinner, and it was a huge turn off. I wanted to ignore it but it started burning my throat and tightening my chest, and by the last third of our dinner I was definitely wishing I had gone outside or chosen a different place. Even that I could kind of forgive but when I asked the waiter If everything was ok in the kitchen, since it was so smoky, and his response was extremely dismissive and even a bit rude. Apparently the hood in the kitchen is the wrong size so it is ALWAYS smoky in the dining area, and progressively more so through the evening. As someone with lung concerns, I would have liked to know this while being seated, and the very least wish he would have apologized for the way it impacted our dining experience. If the service had been good, 3 stars. As it is, I just can’t justify any more than 2. I’d recommend Roots if you’re in the area instead, as it’s very close by and has a much more expansive, unique menu, and very polite, friendly staff.
