Absolutely the best take out service I’ve ever had. What an experience from entering to exiting. Staff is beyond friendly and super helpful with all your needs. The food is chart topping as well as the extensive menu offered. Get there early, once it’s gone it’s gone. Concord you definitely put this one on the map. Avenue’s thanks for all you do, love you and your food. Kudos to all involved in this NC staple.

I like Avenues a lot it’s on the pricey side, but for soul food places, they usually are. I love their banna pudding and fried squash. Sometimes the fried okra and squash aren’t cooked all the, and it’s greasy but all in. They do a pretty good job, and if you are on a low salt diet, it’s perfect, but you can season to taste that’s all for now. I do recommend give them a try you will find something you like.

Get ready to have your soul hugged! Wow, wow, wow, this is the definition of true southern cooking. My family and I feasted on everything from the yams, to fish, to pound cake, to potato salad and had our eyes rolling to the back of our heads. What an incredibly hospitable and hardworking staff that took care of us as well. You don’t need a silver fork to eat good food and I can’t wait to return here next time I’m in Concord!

I’ve been meaning to stop by here for a while but I could never catch them with my schedule. Right now they’re only open on the weekend Friday thru Sunday. We randomly stopped by yesterday and now I’m mad I waited so long. It’s a small homey place with a comforting southern feel. The menu has a variety of popular soul food items as well as dessert. The dessert changes often from what I’ve heard. The prices are really decent and the service was amazing. I love supporting local shops so this being a hidden gem and right around the corner made me really happy. I had the flounder dinner with two sides, yams and Mac and cheese. All made from scratch and ridiculously delicious. My wife had the daily chicken and rice special with onions and gravy along with 2 sides fried squash and collard greens. They don’t have indoor seating right now but there are tables outside and the food comes packed Togo! Seriously so delicious! Make sure you stop by you won’t regret it.
