The service wasn’t horrible. The waitress forgot my salad, but she was new. My mom ordered a garden salad, but got a side salad. My seafood pasta was difficult to eat because it had a lot of shell bits in it. Then the owner wouldn’t let me take the leftovers (that we paid for) home for my chickens. This birthday dinner was a downer.

Great location with a superb view. Great atmosphere and good food. Probably best restaurant in Torrington! Seafood was good. Pasta Shrimp just had a bit too much of garlic. Salmon a little too long on the grill. But quality was good. Really chill way of live up there! Can only recommend it when in this neighbourhood. Also kids liked the burgers.

Food was good! Service was friendly and quick. Stopped on a whim going to Sd. Glad we did! We’ll be back next time:) flipped for my bison burger!! I won!! Remember to top the waitress like you had to pay:) thanks again it was yummy!

I decided on the beef stroganoff. The menu description was beef stroganoff over egg noodles. The featured vegetable was asparagus. What I received was brown gravy with soggy noodles over mashed potatoes. There were four pieces of what seemed to be beef tips. Green beans were served instead of asparagus.. there was no bread served with the meal.

Update….My father and I loved their food so much that first night that we have picked up take out every night since (4 nights total if u count tonight). We have tried almost all Entrées and have loved every single one. Sad we will leave in 3 days to move to another state.

I had an excellent ribeye steak here. The service was excellent and our food came out quickly. The view from the dining area is spectacular! I’m glad we found this place but we almost missed it. The sign is small and you can’t easily see the restaurant from the road. Very nice place!

I was a little Leary about eating here,I ordered a Margarita and it was the worst one I have ever had, I told our waiter and he was so good about getting me something different, we ordered our appetizer (pic) holy moly it was awesome !!! I ordered the lime shrimp and hubby and the fillet. Our meal was amazing ! If we lived here we would eat here all the time. We were just passing through.

We would highly recommend The Bucking Horse Steak House to anyone seeking a catered event. Jan has excellent catering expertise to prepare and execute high quality catering events. Jan provided us a tremendous 88th birthday celebration for over 50 people that included a custom menu, table arrangement and table decorations. Her service team was always on the floor to deliver high-class food and drink service (never an empty glass), her chefs’ prepared fantastic tasting food that included Hors d’oeuvres, three entrées choices (Filet Mignon, Sea Bass and Capresse Style Grilled Chicken) and dessert. Her team decorated an impressive space into an exquisite ambiance. We received many complements on the event from our guests. Jan and her team will exceed your expectations!
