We’ve lived in Glenpool for a few years and have passed by this treasure too many times. We decided to try it out and were glad that we did. The food was homestyle cooked and the menu is a variety of everything you need for a delicious meal. The food came out fresh, hot and as ordered. The atmosphere is homey and have the small town fill. My wife and I enjoyed all of our food items and will be back again. Highly recommend Mamadou’s to others, we are glad that we tried it.

It was close to 3 pm when my husband and I drove by this place. We were both hungry and we pulled in with a trailer after a chicken coop delivery in Morris OK. Mamadou’s—a family owned restaurant did not disappoint! We both ordered their 2-piece catfish dinner served with fries, hushpuppies, green beans and a side of salad. I had the Caesar and my husband had the house salad, which were both fresh and good. Cajun catfish and sweet potato fries were my choice and my husband got the regular catfish and fries. Large size of fresh catfish was moist and fried to perfection, however, they were on the salty side even the french fries. We balanced it out with a heathy blob of tartar sauce. The cornmeal breaded catfish could have been lightly salted and breaded, but we had a great experience overall. It is evident that the owner is invested in his place of business—and proud for that matter. He made his rounds at each table and checked to make sure everything was okay. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. We overheard that it was her birthday so we tipped her quite well and she was grateful. We left the place feeling good and full and took the rest of our catfish home for sandwiches the following day. This is a place worth the drive and going back for—over and over!

The story behind the restaurant is a good one. The fact the owner after all these years still comes out to check on everyone doesn’t happen anymore it was a wonderful personal touch. Food was great !!!

Felt like the small town I grew up in when I walked in. Food took a good few minutes to arrive but never once did my drink get or my partners get below half. Super friendly wait staff. Good appetizer but nothing crazy (cheesey mushrooms) but the mushroom cheeseburger is one of if not the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. It instantly changed my mood for the better. Phenomenal restaurant.

Guilty! all these dishes are from 3 nights in a row dinner visits. Yes it’s that GOOD! This is a family owned restaurant since 1996, once you taste the food you’ll know why it’s still going strong. You can absolutely taste the love of cooking in each dish. Will I be going back? You bet I will …still working my way through the menu.
