First time here and I was impressed! I’m pescatarian (eat fish but no meat) and at many Mexican restaurants my options are limited. However, Chava’s had 6 or 7 options on the menu that I could order straight off the menu with no substitutions. I ended up getting the Vegetarian fajitas. They were great! And the portion was so big that I could only eat half before I got full. The other half became my next meal. I would definitely visit again to try the other meals.

Nicely decorated restaurant with booths and tables. Service was good. Salsa was very good and freshly made. Ordered the chicken fajitas for two and they didn’t disappoint. Came with rice, beans, peppers, onions, guacamole and sour cream. Parking lot is small. That would be the only downside.

Oh my goodness the food here was incredible!! The flavors of everything from the salsa to the fajita meat and the guacamole! My husband had the stuffed peppers he said they were amazing as well. We will absolutely be back.

This place boggles the mind. The food is absolutely delicious, but the service is unlike anything I have ever experienced. When you put your food in a to-go box, there is already an arm reaching over your shoulder to take the emptied plate away. When your chip basket is half-full, it’s taken away only to be replaced by a full basket of hot chips over and over again.

We were extremely disappointed with the food. Avoid the shrimp and ground beef. Shrimp was extremely fishy and the ground beef was grainy with a disappointing flavor. Everything else was mediocre at best. Even the margarita was disappointing.

Another amazing dinner at Chava’s in Edwardsville. Daniel is always a great server and bartender. Amazing quality food at a very reasonable cost in our hometown. All food is great but pork enchiladas, Guadalajara tacos and el mereco burritos and mango margs! Yum!!!!
