Visited this place because it was a favorite and regular place to eat for my mom and dad in the 90s. We always dined in, and so did so today. We were the only patrons on a Tuesday night. The place is sort of run down inside and was stuffy. We skeptically ordered a San Remo Special and garlic knots. The pizza and knots were absolutely delicious! The crust was crisp and tasty, and the sauce and toppings were generous and flavorful…the best New England style pizza I have had since leaving Connecticut! The large pizza was huge and I was full after one piece! The garlic knots were very flavorful as well. So simple but so very tasty! I am glad we stayed and gave it a try. PS parking is limited, we parked in the back.

Very good pizza. If you order a lot of toppings and use paper plates at your house to eat off of, you need to make sure that they are sturdy. Otherwise, your pizza will be on the floor. Their food is excellent, though. I’m from Houston, Texas, and thoroughly enjoyed the food very much. Make sure you call your order in before arriving, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Invited two friends to lunch. Their grinders looked good. Mine, a roast beef with lettuce and mayonnaise, was terrible. ONE slice of roast beef, a terribly thick and not so fresh grinder, and a $9 price tag. The service was very slow and forgetful. I hope the take out pizza is better than the experience so far.

I really don’t like to leave bad reviews, but hopefully this would be taken as constructive criticism. Went on a Friday night during 90° temps and none of the air conditioners were on. Just a large ceiling fan. There was no one in the dining room, so either it was a quiet night or possibly people left. I guess if there was no one dining in, then why waste electricity. When we mentioned it, they did quickly turned them on for us.

I heard thar this place was bought out from the original owners so we tried it out to see if they still have the good food the previous owners made. The customer service is horrible now. They will not admit to their mistakes let alone apologize for the inconvenience they made to their customers. My wife (a vegetarian) ordered pineapple & jalapeno pizza. They gave us a hawaaian with jalapeno. We called them telling that they put the wrong toppings and they insisted that it is our fault for ordering the wrong item. I went back to their store to return the pizza and they hesitated to give me a refund. Why would a vegetarian order something with meat on it? Former customers, BEWARE of the new “San Remo”. Never had any issue with the previous owners. We order often here since we only live a few houses down from the store but I guess it is time to find a new spot.

We dined this past Sunday evening al fresco. We ordered calamari which was fresh and very good. I ordered the manicotti, which was baked in just the right amount of delicious sauce, and light and creamy flavorful ricotta, yummy!
