Jack’s Fish Spot is as authentic as Pike’s Place Market – it’s a place for locals.

Decent joint for all the seafood lovers. This joint is tucked in just opposite to the Pike market, food quality is good with reasonable price point. However could very busy during weekend and may not a get seat for eating as the seating capacity is only 6 to 8 people. Satisfied with the grilled salmon and chowder bowl.

Classic Pike Place Market fish bar. Standard menu with grilled or fried fish, chowders, tacos, oysters, clams, mussels, prawns, etc.

Been coming to this place for years, the clam chowder and cioppino are absolutely amazing, fish tacos are great, crab and shrimp cocktails are both fantastic. They do fish and chips, it’s really good. I always have to stop in and get a little bit of something because it sort of tastes like home.

It was so cool stopping here, the employees are very friendly and nice! The food was great and the area is obviously busy, but I definitely would recommend stopping here. The mussels were great!

Went to grab lunch at Jack’s fish spot. The waiting line was quite long but the waiting line cleared up relatively quickly. I got the oysters, halibut fish and chips, prawn tacos, and the fish tacos. The halibut portion was definitely smaller than expected but it was still pretty good. From my order, my favorite item would be the prawn tacos. I ordered takeout because there is limited seating options but the seating option that Jack’s fish spot has has a relatively high turnover rate. In the end, I ended up dining in. Everything was pretty fresh! Definitely would come again.

The fish tacos were very good and the fries came out fresh as well. It would have been nice to have a fountain machine instead of cans and have a option instead of everything being fried. Also there is very limited seating in the area.

I read that people recommended the oysters from here but they were really disappointing. They were small and the barely any ‘meaty-ness’ to them. It didn’t really taste like much. We got the fish and prawn tacos and both are smothered with a tomato, lettuce topping and maybe 2-3 pieces of prawn/fish. The ‘special item’ on the receipt was for the dungeness crab salad, this was small, premade and stored in the fridge on the counter. It was relatively on the lower end of the pricing range but for what you’re getting, I don’t think it’s worth it.

My friend recommended this place as it offers delicious fish and chips that made with salmon. Indeed, their fried salmon is juicy. But the problem is that there are too many bones, not tiny ones, but a long and hard strip. I encounter four bones in 3 pieces of salmon and I really wish fish and chips could be bone-free.
