It’s not everything you have an Australian bakery/ eatery. All the food was good and well priced. Will definitely visit again. Perfect time to try Vegemite if you haven’t.

Saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, so decided to try it out. Nice, clean and friendly atmosphere. Food is great. I didn’t get any pastries, but definitely plan to try some on my next trip there. Water and regular coffee are self-serve. (And free!)

The food and coffee here was fresh and delicious. Service was kind and helpful. Quiet place to enjoy some food and read a book or simply people watch as you do at any respectable cafe.

Delivered via Doordash. This was quite literally some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had. I got the smoky vegetable pie, passionfruit curd with meringue, chocolate ganache & raspberry coulis tart, and pear Danish. The vegetable pie was the best. The mushrooms created a sort of gravy inside, the crust was flakey, the eggplant and sweet potato (which I normally hate) were sooooo good. The passion fruit was so flavorful and delicious. The meringue was perfect. The chocolate ganache was the creamiest most delicious chocolate and the raspberry was..words don’t even properly describe it. The pear Danish wasn’t what I expected- it was better.

The food at banksia never disappoints, and the coffee is delicious and made just the way I like, customizations and all. They have the best salad options, with unique protein choices and veggies options. My favourite is the jerk chicken salad, the chicken is so juicy and the pine nuts add a yummy crunch. The Mediterranean salad is also yummy, the fried halloumi cheese is a masterpiece.

I really enjoyed my experience here on a Sunday afternoon. I had planned to eat at Chipotle across the street but they didn’t have any veggies so I abandoned that idea and ended up at Banksia. I am glad I did. The B.A.T with the side salad ended up being a very uniquely tasty meal. The service and atmosphere inside was also refreshing. They have plenty of great sounding dishes on their menu too so there is probably something for everyone. I would definitely go back if I am ever in the area again.

KC gem of a breakfast spot, serving excellent Aussie inspired menu. Everything we tried (slide to see!) was amazing

Funny enough, my fiancee and I heard about Banksia on the flight into Kansas City from a KC resident from Australia, so when we saw it was a short walk from our hotel we made the trip.

I order from this location constantly, and I am never, ever disappointed. This is one of the only places in the KC area where I have found food that is consistently well made, unapologetically adapted to available ingredients, and priced in a way that I can afford. Absolutely recommend getting up early for this place, even if you set an alarm for delivery so you can have their wonderful snacks while sipping tea at home with your cat, or however you choose to enjoy.

We stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Great atmosphere, loved all the hanging plants. Staff were sort of artfully disinterested. Not rude just not friendly. Young and hip. The pastries looked amazing and we should have had those. We went with Eggs Benedict (VERY runny with a a hollandaise that tastes nothing like hollandaise) and biscuits and gravy (a bit sweet, served in a too small bowl with no plate beneath, so everything sort if slops onto the table when you start eating). The coffee was very good. It was expensive for what it was and frankly, not very good. If we go back, we’ll try the pastries.
