Xiao Bao is such a wonderful hidden gem in East Nashville. The decor/ambiance is unbeatable, and their food is quite tasty and well-priced. The menu is family style- so we ordered the noodles, beef rib, and the eggplant. The noodles were very good, a mix between an Italian/Asian comfort food dish with a little kick of spice! The eggplant was SO good, and the beef rib portion was HUGE, and a very heavy dish- so balance it out with a salad. We took some of the beef home for leftovers, and after refrying, it tasted even better! The staff is great, and the service is efficient. I would definitely return & try the bao buns!

Such a unique and delicious experience. Some family members were hesitant in coming here, but ended up loving it! Almost all the dishes I loved. The decor fit the food perfectly. It’s worth going out of your way for this place!

A hidden gem outside of busy downtown Nashville that has soulful and creative renditions of classic Asian favorites! Xiao Bao presents a simple yet effective menu highlighting amazing flavors from all types of Asian cuisine. Their dishes are enjoyed best family style to sample all the different combinations of flavors they have to present. My personal favorite is their noodle dish and is highly recommended!

Holy cow! This place is so cute and the service was so quick! My favorite dish was the noodles and Bao buns. They were both incredible dishes with a lot of flavor. The crab fried rice was also yummy but the noodles and Bao buns were the real star of the show. The food was so good I forgot to take more photos!

Xiao Bao has quickly become one of my go to restaurants in the neighborhood. The food is exciting and delicious. The beer and wine selection is unique and good, Funny, I didn’t get a picture of the Bao Buns, but they, the Okonomiyaki, and everything so far has been fire. Bring friends. Eat the whole menu…It’s good to know that the kitchen does close one hour before closing hours, while the bar remains open. Highly recommended.

Wow! Seriously so good. One of my favorite (if not my favorite) restaurants I have ever been to in Nashville. Food is incredible with some of the best and most unique dishes I have experienced. Insane flavors. Vibes are great inside and staff is super friendly/helpful. This was my second time here and can’t wait to come back again:)

I wish I could write a thesis on this place. Where do I begin? The staff here is truly the heart and soul they were completely so kind and hospitable and made my 21st birthday an unforgettable one. I probable would have cried tears of joy if I wasn’t so excited about it being my birthday. I decided to grab a late lunch here and I briefly mentioned to my lovely server (she has a pixie cut) that it was my 21st birthday and she worked her magic and a beautiful mochi waffle (the best desert I’ve ever had for my birthday) was brought out with a candle. I thought it couldn’t get much better than the delicious noodles and bao buns and somehow they continued to exceed expectations. It was such a good experience that I decided to end my night here with a friend, and we were treated with the same level of warmth by my second server for the day (he’s a Leo, if it helps get him the recognition he deserves). There are not enough words in any language to express my gratitude for this amazing staff and my appreciation of this beautiful property.

We visited this restaurant recently and were impressed with the quality and flavor of the dishes. One standout was the Vietnamese turmeric fish with dill and cabbage, which was exceptional and left us wanting to recreate it at home. The combination of spices and herbs made for a delectable flavor profile that left us wanting more. Additionally, the Okonomiyaki with pork candy and hand-pulled noodles was a real treat. Each component of the dish was prepared and presented to perfection, making for an outstanding meal.

Our experience at Xiao Bao was amazing. The food was unique and full of flavor. Even though I was stuffed, I couldn’t stop eating. Our favorite dishes were the Crudo – fresh, flavorful raw salmon in an acidic, herb-forward sauce – and the Noddles – hand-pulled with tender brisket. The atmosphere has a 50s, Asian-Americana vibe.
