Attentive service and lovely space. The dining area is spacious, but it’s also somewhat noisy because of the open concept. There was pleasant live music set to a good volume.

Scarlet Knife is a beautiful place, upscale feeling, yet I felt relaxed and at home. I had creme brulet French toast served with real maple syrup. It was delicious. The server was attentive but not intrusive. It is totally handicapped accessible but I didn’t check out the bathroom. It is a little difficult to find as their signage could be better. There was also live music which was not too loud so conversation was easy.

This one was right in the middle for me. Short rib was amazingly tender. Rack of lamb was perfect. The shrimp and scallop grits with smoky cheddar was not good at all. It was way too smokey almost artificial smoke flavor. It left a bad taste in my mouth. The lobster Mac and cheese is bland zero taste. The Brussel sprouts in duck fat were good. Staff was awesome chefs were cool. It has a fine dining feel and portion size (very small portions) but not worth the prices. I don’t think I will return. Be warned small portions

Fantastic meal and experience. Enjoyed eating at the chef’s table and the tour of Chef Paul’s state of the art open kitchen! The food was delicious and the pastry Chef, Julia, created the best desserts we’ve had in years. Cannot recommend enough. The soon to be open Dessert Room will be the best place to enjoy Campfire Song or Violet b.

We decided to make reservations for the day after Valentine Day to avoid the crowds. Others have covered most of the points I would make. The food was wonderful and I was glad to be able to order things that I can’t get at home. My app was the bone marrow boat, served with toasted bread, mushrooms and greens. Hub had an excellent onion soup. For my entree I had butternut squash gnocchi, served with wilted kale. It was delicious, delicate. Hub had tenderloin which was also good but a little on the rare side of the medium rare that he ordered. Both had Violet B dessert. When I had initially heard that they had a dessert room, I was picturing a sort of buffet of sample sizes of dozens of desserts, which would be this carb lovers heaven but probably impossibly expensive to actually do. The room wasn’t opened yet but it will be a quiet place where diners can go after their meal for coffees and sweets. I do wish the dessert menu was bigger. And speaking of quiet places, the space in the old KMart is pretty loud, with high ceilings and concrete floors and hard surfaces. The one complaint I had was that the piped in music just was not necessary over all the rest of the noise.

Ok. This was such a treat for a self proclaimed Foodie. All the details matter and they were there. Beautiful woodwork, place settings, glasses, silverware, and of course scarlet knife with the main meal. Wait staff was impeccable. Bathrooms were pristine. Very easy access for any physical limitations. The kitchen viewing station is super cool. I didn’t need one with my meal, but it was cute. The price point is higher then average, but very acceptable for the concept of up scale locally sourced. The menus are complete. Fairly extensive wine list, limited but the glass. Wine pairing with main meals is a very nice touch. Appetizers were delicious. Too much broth with the shrimp. The fries were incredible. But just a tiny bucket of mayo alongside… maybe a fancy mayo or a different sauce. I would have just done all small plates, but had to try the main courses. Beautifully plated. Nice dishware. Attentive to when I was done and took the plate away for my left overs to be plated not in my face. Good portions. Limited info on food allergies and no gluten free dessert except ice cream, was a little limiting. If you have a separate pastry chef, there needs to be a gluten free & vegan option in this current climate. Their is a separate dessert room which is really cool. To be able to come for drinks and dessert. I hope they do really well. It’s a beautiful space and will definitely encourage people go.

Excellent food and beautiful restaurant! Will definitely be back to try more menu items! We had the bone marrow boat and arugula salad for appetizers, lamb rack and gnocchi for dinner and for desert we had the LBD and Campfire Song. All of the food was amazing! Service was a little slow and the room we were in on the right was a little loud, wish we sat in the main dinning room. Be prepared to spend about 1.5 hours for a full meal but it is well worth it!

Good service and food and atmosphere, classy and modern (urban). Nice to have this place taken over and occupied now! We got a tour of the kitchen which felt special. They seem about to open a separate dessert room (the dessert was already my favorite part!) Drinks were enjoyed by our whole party as well from cocktails to wine to beer. The only suggestion is more vegetarian and vegan options (it’s 2023!).

The best gnocchi I ever had. Atmosphere is great – there is a live music, but not loud, just sets up the romantic mood. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend it.
