The Daily Planet was a great experience. We had 2 delicious local ciders, with a Mac and cheese appetizer. It was incredible, one of the best homemade Mac and cheese dishes I’ve had in a very long time. Dinner was the Salmon and Steak dishes respectively. They were delicious, cooked to perfection. We tried polenta for the first time as well with the Salmon dish and I enjoyed it! Then we had the milk chocolate creme brulee and poached pear and we were disappointed. They were fine, but they weren’t the home runs everything else was for the night. That happens sometimes though, nothing appeared wrong with the desserts themselves, might just be our taste preferences. Service was wonderful and food was well spaced and paced! Enjoy!

Aside from my husband finding out nothing in the restaurant hinted of Superman, this was pretty good. Glad to find a decent restaurant that didn’t immediately want us to vacate our table as soon as we paid (Farmhouse Grille ). Jack was super, and cocktails and food were really yummy

Went here for dinner with my wife and family. Waitress was lovely and things started well with two good cocktails but then went downhill. Took 50 min for food to arrive and have to say none of it was good. Mac cheese was quite dry and bland, burgers unremarkable with overcooked fries, vegan pasta dish was disappointing and seared tuna was not seared, essentially raw and cold. To be fair they did listen to our feedback and take off 30% off the food, but even then not sure the food we had was worth it. Not a planet a will be visiting again.

A restaurant like no other, The Daily Planet was a very enjoyable experience. Emily, my waitress was very friendly and right on point with service. I was able to enjoy outside seating and noted the inside had great art that matched the setting. I enjoyed two adult beverages, the Smoke Jumper and the Kentucky Mash. Both were great, but the Smoke Jumper was particularly well mixed. I had two small plates; the Green Beans Almondine and the Gazpocho Verde. The The Green Beans Almindine was so good I want to try and make them at home. The Gazpocho Verde was excellent, but be prepared for a cold style soup, which I enjoy.

Very cool spot with great food, cocktails, and a funky vibe. The special tonight was pork belly bhan mi, and it was delicious. We also had the spicy green beans and the nachos, both of which were great. Friendly, fast service. Absolutely recommend.

Okay the food here tasted AMAZING!! We loved our vegan nachos, soup and salmon dishes. Portions were slightly on the smaller size for the price but we felt the flavor still made it worth it. We really appreciate the fun and tasty mocktail menu too! Overall, The Daily Planet menu has options for everyone, incredible vibes and attentive service. If you are visiting Burlington and trying to have a fun dinner out, this is the place!

Unfortunately the experience I had here was the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in the United States so far. I requested a modification and instead of simply informing me that they weren’t doing it the waitress decided to argue with me for about 3 minutes why I should not order the modification because of pricing (which was not an issue). On my next return she did the same thing. I was not interested in arguing over something I’m paying for so I requested another server. She shouted and mentioned a comment about a tip from a previous time I had eaten there. Extremely unprofessional. I hope she can find a sense of tranquility and peace in her future interactions. I don’t have plans on ever returning here nonetheless.
