Bangalore express is a great place to go for authentic South Indian food. The dosas are made fresh to order and are very flavorful. The service is also very friendly and attentive. It’s a treat to enjoy authentic dosa and uttapam prepared for folks who grew up eating South Indian vegetarian food. Wish I lived closer to be able to try everything on this extensive menu. I would definitely go back the next time I’m in the area.

Longtime customer, they had been great however lately my experience has not been the same. There is no consistency in cooking. Sometimes it’s overcooked(dark), it would taste bitter and sometimes under cooked. Today’s experience with Rava Masala Dosa (my usual order for last 10 years) which wasn’t like ‘RAVA’ Dosa and batter didn’t taste like usual crispy Rava, when ordering my only instructions were the same as prior orders “Don’t overcook, don’t make it dark”.

We have been ordering food from Banglore Express for the last 11 years now, and we’ve always had a good experience. It has been our go-to restaurant for Indian vegetarian food. We have ordered all kinds of food – South Indian (dosa, medu vada, idli, etc), curries (mutter paneer, Punjabi dal, etc), chaat (Dahi puri, sev puri, etc) and other items like chhole bhature (not sure if that falls under chaat ) – and it has all been very good. Admittedly the place doesn’t have the best ambience for dining in, but it’s a simple set up that works if you do choose to dine in (we have done on a few occasions, though rarely). Our orders are mostly take out, and sometimes they can be a little busy, but they will tell you upfront how long your order will take, and 90% of the times the order is ready in that time. The food is also very well priced. They’ve not raised their prices ridiculously during and post Covid, like almost all other places that serve veg Indian food in the area have done. Kamal (the owner) is also a nice guy and friendly to talk to. Has always been very courteous to me. Would definitely recommend Banglore Express.

Totally enjoyed large Dosas served…cooked while we waited. Place is clean and easy to get to. Prices are reasonable and Chai was delicious. Service was great and owner was friendly and personable. So glad we stopped at Bangalore Express for brunch. We will definitely revisit to try some of the other vegetarian dishes.

I would say they need to fix their system first od all. Their rude and nasty behavior towards customers. I appreciate one of the chefs i guess VIKRAM is really good but the others are too arrogant. They had some issues with their payment system and they expect me to give my credit card details and whenever they call i pick up their phone and get to the store and make the payment. I mean wth. I aint gonna be free for weekends. I got my own plans. First of… fix ur system and then get back to calling me. Ì ain’t running no where.

We have been going to Banglore Express since they opened about 20 years ago. Consistently good food and good selection. As a strict vegetarian, it’s wonderful to have a neighborhood eatery that serves ONLY veg food and does it so well.

Food here is solid! As a dosa connoisseur, dosa was pretty satisfactory. Palak paneer was a bit too creamy i guess. Tasted kinda like malai kofta sort of. But really enjoyed the overall experience. Also, love the hindi that the owners speak.
