This place is now one of my favorite Italian places in Denver. They hit it out of the park during our trip there. Ask about the “I Know a Guy” special $29 for drink and entree) for drinks and food. Emily was behind the bar and was great, and her efficiency behind there didn’t allow us to meet her co-worker (who looked on point also), John. We split the fennel sausage pizza and the elk bolognese pasta and both were exceptional. They did have an IPA for me, they have a chili garlic sauce in the back you should ask for. The background music was hip hop and upbeat, and we will be back for sure. See you there.

1st time in Jovanina’s for me. I ordered 6 really good chilled oysters, a MR New York Strip Florentine (paring with a nice Montepulciano 2019 red wine) that came Rare. I just let the staff know that my steak was rare instead of MR and they gave me another perfect new MR steak and apologized about it. (In any restaurant, if your order is not as cooked as you asked, please don’t be shy to let the staff know about it before complaining and leaving with a “bad experience”. I’m sure they will do the best to make it as it pleases you) that’s what they did here. Thank you guys for your reactivity, your professionalism and kindness!! The restaurant was full house so a little bit too noisy for me but I really had a good time and will for sure come back!

We were disappointed with their Valentine’s Day dinner. It cost $90 per person and the food was mediocre. The bone marrow bruschetta was burnt and that ruined the flavor of the dish. The duck was tasty but the fish was flavorless.

Best scallops I’ve ever had! They just melted in your mouth. The type of food that makes your eyes roll back in your head. I didn’t realize there was a downstairs until after we were seated but it would have been cool to have been offered a table there for a more romantic feel.

This place is wonderful. Definitely need to sit downstairs in the speakeasy style basement. The food and drinks were incredible, and the service and atmosphere were amazing as well. We will definitely be back. We recommend the Elk Bolegnse pasta dish.

Cutest downstairs that is absolutely nothing like the upstairs! Perfect for intimate date night. Cocktails were great however… the elk bolognese… I would die for it.

Very eclectic and bohemian vibes in this restaurant extending from the decor to the servers. Highly recommend the cannolis and elk bologenese. The elk was juicy and incredibly savory, and the pasta was cooked to a perfect al-dente. Our server was attentive and helpful in her run down of the menu and recommendations. A great spot if you want a unique dining experience and excellent Italian food with a Colorado twist.

Our first experience was amazing! We celebrated our anniversary and it was the perfect choice. The house meatball pasta tasted very authentic and used high quality ingredients. The pork chop is great with such a generous portion for the price and the rack of lamb was perfect. Staff is just so lovely and attentive, I’m so happy our first time here was incredible and we can’t wait to come back! Oh cocktails are great too!!

This place is awesome. The decor is great (each chair has a sheepskin draped over the back), the food is great, and the staff is super friendly.
