This was hands down, the best sushi I have ever tasted. The best service I’ve ever experienced for Sushi as well. Every single dish left me rolling the taste around, trying to prolong the savoring of every bite. Fish that I was not particularly fond of from previous experiences elsewhere were served, and I was blown away with how good it all was. I never thought that I would have told everyone how delicious Mackerel was, but I sure did after eating Sai’s impressive creations.

I can’t express how much I loved the abalone with abalone liver sauce. It was different and amazing. The food is yummy and we enjoyed a lovely dinner with close friends. It’s the perfect quiet atmosphere to dine and spend time with the people you love without distraction…and with super delish food.

What a fantastic experience. It’s a private dinner with the chef. He has decades of experience and you get to have him cook for you personally, there are no other people/groups aside from your group. The food itself is unique, every piece is carefully put together and has its own taste. And he only picks what’s best from the market in season! Fantastic experience, will definitely come again.

I saved all year year to take my boyfriend here for his birthday, and it was well worth it. The meal was beautiful and delicious. Everything tasted so fresh, and Chef Saito was so kind, and made us feel welcomed. This is splurge, but it is a very special place.

Wow. It was some personal and private experience with sushi. So freaking amazing. Have omakase if you are sure you will nor complain about how much it costs. Great experience. Have omakase! The freshness of the ingredient and the artisan will blow you away.

This place is an experience!! The best sushi I’ve ever had! The omakasi is more like 19 courses because the sushi comes with 11 individual pieces served one by one. Even the seasonal soup (corn miso) was delicious. The corn miso had yuzu at the bottom, little touches like this made everything extra extra good! This place would not be able to stay in business if their food wasn’t amazing. 1 table or dinner slot 2-4 people twice a night. There’s a reason they are all booked up. Every seat is at the bar and the chef is super knowledgeable without being conceded, he is happy to explain the entry without going over board. He also is happy to share techniques and explain ingredients (which usually only happens when a place is amazing, he could give us an ingredient list and instructions and I guarantee his version would be much much better!). There were even items for dinner that we normally don’t like, but the quality and how they were prepared made them awesome! Best fatty tuna, sashimi, and hand roll I’ve ever had! Anyone giving this place less than 5 stars or saying things like there is better sushi for less are crazy! We’re already planning on inviting all of our out of state foody friends here as it’s one of if not the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. I’m surprised they don’t have 3 Michelin stars, obviously they’ve never sent in a taster/reviewer

4 star for the freshness and highlights of the menu but to be honest I’m expecting more flavors and types of dishes from the omakase, or let’s say it didn’t surprise me in any way. The highlights of the menu for me were otoro and uni hand roll. They were sooooo rich in flavors and stays long in the mouth. I personally feel the overall flavor for all dishes is a bit plain and not savory enough, and not much innovation. I’m expecting more!

10/10 Recommend! The price is well worth it. Came on a Monday night and it’s only my party of 2. The dishes are fantastic in the way they are presented. Chef put a lot of time in designing the Omakase menu and you can feel he’s passionate about his job . Got to try 11 sashimi and 1 hand roll in addition to appetizers, soups and desert! Worth your money and definitely a decent premium experience. It’s a hidden gem in the Seattle area.

There is only chef, me and my wife during the 2 hours dinner, and the chef doesn’t talk much, feel a little bit weird. The food is not bad, but I don’t think it worth $200/person, really below my expectation. You can find many better sushi restaurants around Seattle for this price. And you cannot order more food when the sushi course is finished.

I’ve had Omakase at several restaurants including those here around Seattle and in Japan – I rank Sai’s among the best Omakase experiences I’ve had and would highly recommend it to those looking for great sushi in Seattle!
