Very cute patio and the food was EXCELLENT. THE BRAISED Beef short rib was excellent. I would skip the gnocchi only because I felt like I could have made something like that at home. Would highly recommend to go here. They even had live music playing and he was very talented. Cute spot and cozy courtyard.

This is the best restaurant on Daniel Island! The mussels and accompanying curry sauce is one of my favorite dishes in the Charleston area! The creamy polenta and shrimp entree was absolutely AMAZING. Even the bread service was phenomenal!

We enjoyed Sermet’s Courtyard very much (although, sadly, we didn’t get to sit in the courtyard due to the threat of lightning). The did was excellent with great service. We started with the fresh pulled mozzarella and cherry tomatoes in EVOO and balsamic vinegar. It was so good it was gone before I could take a picture. For the main course I had the special which a broiled halibut over green tea infused jasmine rice in a coconut tomato cream sauce with asparagus and bokchuy. Deeeeeeeeelicious. My wife had the fettuccine bolognes. Also very good. I liked the wine list as well (not that I’m a wine expert). We were too full for dessert. Next time.

This has been my favorite spot to go for my Bday for the past 8 years almost and every so often for a date night, Mother’s day or Father’s. I’ve gotten to know the owner and always superb. Very nice place. It you’re willing to wait for quality and excellent food this is the place to go. Service has always been great. Sermets is the spot on Daniel Island to go for a romantic, relax and even casual dinner experience.

The 2 hosts were so wonderful. They were able to get our party of 10 seated outside and went out of their way to accommodate us and refill waters and everything. They really made our night. I think our servers name was Julie and she was outstanding. The level of hospitality we received will keep us coming back! Food was delicious too. The house made gnocchi was soft and delicate.

Made a reservation and they lived us to a different t time for other people. When I explained we had a reservation Lisa was very rude and got angry saying they don’t guest tee anything. We’ve been going there for 11 years and lived it but it has gone way down hill. Might as well be a Gillian’s now. Don’t waste your time booking here. Way better options all over this town. Sad Sermet. Very sad. We loved the place for years. Even had our wedding night dinner there.

I would love to give this place more than 2 stars however there are so many things I couldn’t overlook. The flies was so bad, I ended up swatting them more than focusing on the food. All the food that was presented was masked with so much sauce. I love saucy food but I think in this case it just hides the true glory of the food by drowning it with sauces. The saving grace was the ambience. Hope it gets better for the future.

Second time we’ve eaten here while visiting Daniel Island. Everything we had was delicious. Short ribs and gnocchi, fried okra and caramel cheesecake! Will definitely be back!

We have been to sermets a couple of times. Food has always been good. This time, however, the service was horrendous. It took us (party of 4) nearly 2.5 hours to eat due to the slow service. They also ran out of several entrees so the already limited menu was even more limited.
