A true hole in the wall. Sticky floors and all.. loved the Jamaican beef pattie with cocobread and cheese… so good. I ended up eating in my car because I received a phone call. One of the staff walked by and asked if I was ok… I thought it was sweet of them to check up. I was just trying not to be rude and have a call with people around.

Excellent jerk chicken and the rice and peas and steamed veggies are SO GOOD. That sauce is delicious. Always friendly service too. Best takeout in Springfield.

Portions are great. Food sometimes isn’t ready even well after the place opens but otherwise, it’s standard west Indian cuisine!

Where to begin? My job takes me all over the USA and I’m always trying to find a Jamaican restaurant whichever state I go. I have been to many and yet this is the first time I chose to write a review. Pete’s made this possible. The location is great, inside the restaurant is nice and very clean, customer service is top class, the food takes me back to Jamaica very flavorful, tasty, the best I’ve had so far, quantity is perfect. After leaving and finished eating I felt real good knowing that my money was well spent. Anytime I’m around that area that is my spot. I pray this restaurant prospers greatly. Keep up the excellent work.

Authentic Jamaican comfort food. We wandered in within a couple hours of their closing time, so the selection was a bit limited, but the food we did get was excellent. The curry chicken wasn’t crazy spicy and the meat was falling off the bone. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food we received, and the people working were very courteous. There is very limited seating for dining in, but that’s the only negative thing I can think to say. Looking forward to visiting here again!

I had their curry chicken with rice and peas yesterday and I could NOT stop eating after I was full; the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. This was my second visit, once last year, but I’ll be back again soon.

Portions were small and too many bones. How does one really address that when it happens without sounding like Oliver Twist?
