A very little tucked away restaurant with wonderful food, wonderful service — just feels so homey! I’ll definitely drive out of my way to go back here again 🙂 I got eggs Benedict on a biscuit instead of an English muffin. With gravy on the hash browns. Everything was excellent!

Extremely quick service & kind servers with a good sense of humor. The coffee was ridiculously tasty. Idk how they managed to do that with drip coffee at a diner but wow. I drank my first cup within minutes, and had 2 more. The eggs Benedict was tasty with plenty of sauce and crispy hashbrowns. The toast was surprisingly flavorful for just toast with jam – something special in the butter possibly? Lastly we tried their homemade raspberry cheesecake – I’m not even a big fan of cheesecake and this was amazing. Bathroom and kitchen and diner was clean as a whistle. I wish more restaraunts ran like this one does.

We stopped here while traveling the Oregon coast. This place is amazing. Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the staff was incredible. We called ahead of time to see if there was any RV parking and the waitress offered to come outside and help us find a spot. Luckily there was plenty of room to park on the street.

We were looking for a traditional breakfast place, with large portions and fluffy pancakes. We found it here in Bay City at Downie’s. Local mixed with tourists and were all greeted with a hello and glad to see you. The pancakes were fluffy and tasty. My husband tried the loaded hash browns and regretted not being able to finish them. I highly recommend a morning spent at Downie’s. .

Cute little breakfast/lunch spot. Breakfaat served until closing which is around 2 pm i think. Eggs ɓenedict was perfectly cooked. Generous portions.

Amazing food! I had a tough time choosing between breakfast and lunch but ultimately chose the reuben. Delicious! My husband had the classic ham and eggs with gravy. Fantastic! Too full for dessert but a great assortment of pies and cakes. Marionberry, rhubarb, peanut butter pie

Staying in Rockaway Beach for the weekend. Found Downie’s Cafe for breakfast in Bay City, a few miles south. Small cafe, great food, wonderful people. We had their home-made pancakes with bacon and the home-made biscuits and gravy with eggs. Eggs were perfect! Biscuits were top shelf! Pancake was good and fluffy! Amazing! Then we saw the CINNAMON ROLLS… Got one To Go! Thank you Downie’s for a great start to our day!

Downies is one of those delicious little hole in the wall cafes that serves up amazing food from scratch. I had an an incredible club sandwich, my boyfriend had some of the most delightful, fresh fish n chips and my mom had a tasty juicy burger she loved!

What a wonderful, down-home family restaurant! I was thrilled and thankful to find this location. My server was excellent and truly accommodating! I ordered breakfast at the restaurant, plus lunch and dinner to go. Everything is delicious! It’s such a blessing to have these delicious meals on a smow day in Garibaldi/Bay City!
