Great atmosphere. Went for Sunday breakfast. Service a bit slow but food was decent. The biscuit sandwiches are good but the texture of the biscuits are different, so is the taste and it broke pretty easily making eating the breakfast sandwich a bit difficult. We liked the hashbrowns and quiche.

The sandwiches served during weekday lunch hours here are divine. They are perfectly made EVERY time I go. The muffuletta is the best I’ve had anywhere. The bread is the perfect consistency and soaks up the brine from the olive salad like a delicious sponge. You can order ahead online and pick up, or just walk in, grab a table or barstool and someone will take your order from there. I recommend the window seat facing Main Street with a tall glass of Peroni Italian Pilsner. Also, be sure to follow them on social media to keep up with their fun specials like the famous corn dog that pops up every once and a while.

WOW! This place should be packed everyday, but people just don’t know about it yet. From the AMAZING chefs and restaurant proprietors of mother & sons comes this BOMB lunch spot. We have been in 5 times, and it always transports us to Italy. From coffee to sandwiches and salads, this is a TOP lunch spot in Durham

I’ve been here a few times for lunch and have consistently felt that the sandwiches are tasty, but miss the mark ever so slightly. I’ve had to deconstruct sandwiches so that I could eat without everything squishing out the sides onto my hands, or ask for a sauce so it wasn’t so dry. The caprese sandwich is delicious though, and I’d recommend giving that a try!

This is the best place to have lunch in Durham. The food is always top notch, the servers are friendly and the atmosphere is casual and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy.

Wonderful experience having Alimentari cater for our office lunch. Mary was so easy to work with and made sure there were excellent options available for the whole team – dietary restrictions included. I highly recommend the salumi misti sandwich, the antipasto salad, and the veggie charcuterie board (the crispy chickpeas are magical!). Looking forward to working with them again!

Great place to have a sandwich or get some fresh pasta, olives or pesto. I am trying every sandwich here. Have had several so far and all of them are really top notch. The homemade breads are so tasty and chewy. Everything is fresh. The staff are terrific!

Found this place while staying for work. The service was wonderful and the food was great. The muffuletta with Nduja on their house made focaccia was the perfect lunch. Got a salad to go and that was great as well.
