Located on Mooney Blvd across from College of Sequoias and right next door to Dutch Bros. Nice outdoor patio area with lots of seating and small tables. The menu is largely displayed and there are also QR codes throughout to make it easier to order ahead of time. There are plenty of condiments available next to the soda fountain (self serve). The temperature inside the restaurant was colder than I expected, it was a winter night to begin with but some places must keep cooler temperatures to adhere to safety policies; it was a little too cold for me. Food was hot and came in disposable containers on a tray. Large portions of meat or chicken, a scoop of rice and about a cup of macaroni salad comes on plate orders. You can order items a la carte as well. Staff was friendly and very busy. 2 all gender restrooms toward the back of the restaurant. Cola products available or there is also a small fridge stocked with sodas and bottled water. The rice was cooked perfectly and I liked the macaroni salad, it has a very different taste compared to other macaroni salads. The meat and chicken was tender however there were quite a few chewy nerve like pieces or fatty parts on the chicken. Sauces are good and the packets of hot sauce are tangy but not too spicy.

Taking the red eye I had just gotten back to the mainland from the Hawaiian Islands but felt the trip should not be over just yet when I spotted the Ono Hawaiian Barbecue sign.. being a first-time customer I was delightfully surprised to find the food was wonderfully authentic and yummy! It was exactly like what I had eaten in the islands. Mahalo!.. A Big Hawaiian thank you to all of you at Ono Hawaiian BBQ.. What a great welcome home!

Good portions, reasonable prices, and great service. Food was amazing. Chicken was tender, juicy and seasoned well. Their teriyaki sauce is definitely awesome sauce. I highly recommend trying this place. The macaroni salad is also a favorite of mine, quite simple but delicious. The restaurant was clean. I noticed most guests were ordering their food to-go instead of dining in. There are plenty of tables and seats.

I love, love, love the macaroni salad! Whenever we miss the islands, we come here to eat. Fish and Shrimp, pulled pork and Katsu Chicken and sauce is delicious. Service is great, the atmosphere is good. My only gripe is, why do I have to wait until 11 am for opening?

I liked how the sauces were out on the counter for use as many as you want. They know homemade sauce is cheap and that little gesture goes a long way for a customer. I was there late and they started to clean up and they didn’t make me feel like I had to go. I rushed bc of that.

Good food, options & portions! Try the hot sauce and the teriyaki from the pump if you like your food saucy. Lots of seating.
