As I hunt down the best burgers in Vermont, I find myself at the Filling Station Trying out the Kimchi Burger. Let’s just say this burger did not disappoint me. I can see why so many would suggest this place as one of the best in the state. The place has a small amount of inside seating and some spots for outside seating as well. Filling Station in Middlesex is my favorite restaurant in the area – an amazing Sunday Brunch, drink specials, an incredible menu, good place to bring kids, live music on Thursday nights, and dog-friendly outdoor seating – all within an awesome looking space (the walls of which display work by local artists).

We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. I had the pickle juice chicken sandwich with salad and my husband had the Kimchi burger with salad. We both loved the food. It was nice to have someone cook a burger pink in the middle like you ask for. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. Great music selection too. We will certainly be back!

The Filling Station is a great new casual dining option. The menu offers a wide variety and features a lot of vegetarian items. Loved the Spicy Yam Wedges and the Station Salad. There are many sushi options. Service was excellent. Enjoyed sitting outside.

What a beautiful evening! The staff was courteous, the drinks were good, and the food was *amazing.* We went to The Filling Station on a busy Friday with our 9 month old and it couldn’t have been nicer. The fried chicken sandwich was awesome and we didn’t order the sushi but it looked fresh and delicious.

Showed up at 7:20pm, their hours say open until 8pm. Walk up to be seated and get told they’re not seating any more people. Restaurant was about half full, plenty of tables available. Understandable, but the wild part was we just watched her sit a party in front of us, and as we were walking out, they sat the couple who walked in right behind us who watched us get turned away. We then watched another customer put in additional food on their takeout order after seating the couple behind us.

If there was an option for zero stars, that would be my pick! Way over priced for mediocre food and bad service. While the waitress was bringing our food, she actually ate a few of our fries and was continuing to chew while telling us to enjoy our meal! Avoid at all cost.

Tried out the Filling Station for the first time yesterday after hearing through the grapevine about their great burgers and sushi. Unfortunately, after the service and food quality we experienced there, it will definitely not be the preferred choice for the future.
