First time to this local establishment of Lamplighter fame. Got to sit wherever I wanted, which when going solo is either a small table or booth….no booths here so small table it is. Unfortunately it had quite the wobble. Ordered a locally made beer, Schells Premium Light at apparently $5.50 a glass…for tap beer.. ?? Ordered an appetizer since they were half off from 2-5. Jalapeño poppers are my usual go to and had a pleasant surprise of some heat in these and a nice sweet sauce to dip them in. The El Nino burger was very disappointing as the bun to meat ratio bordered 3 to 1 so really there was much taste to the burger itself. The side of potato salad was terrific. Some of the best I’ve had. Service was okay except for not clearing the table as I finished my items.

This place is great! The service was amazing. I was with a group of 10 and everyone ordered something different. There was not a single complaint. The serving sizes were very large for a very good price. The food came out so much faster than expected. .

I’ve recently relocated to New Ulm and made it my goal to find a place with great food, along with variation on the menu. 209 does a pretty good job with that. The variety is awesome, and the food is good. My BBQ sandwich was good, the coleslaw was great. I think this will be a frequent stop for us.

Had ordered, took 40 minutes to get our food with people who arrived after us getting theirs sooner as well as take out orders flying out the door. Ordered the sauerkraut special and it was obviously cooked all day because it was mash, dumplings were like eating paste. Not happy with this meal at all.

As a traveling sales person. I often find myself looking for a good spot to stop and have lunch. Today that just so happens to be here. My server was Becky? If I recall correctly. Very nice, and a fun server to have. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It came to my table undercooked. I sent it back and my server brought me a Turkey club sandwich that was delicious. She comped my lunch for the issue with the first sandwich, which wasn’t expected but definitely appreciated. I felt terrible because I never carry cash so had no means of tipping. But I promise I’ll be back and double up. Thanks again for the great experience!

Waitress was not good. Had one refill of drink before food came. We ordered our food at 11:45 did not receive it until 1:20pm. Waitress never came and asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. Plenty of other people came in after the three of us that were there and got food before us and left before us. No one was around to ask what was going on. Will not be going back
