We walked in the rain to here! We were basically drenched rats by the time we got inside. We reserved a specific room a month prior and did not get it. We asked for a specific server at that time as well and did not get them either. However, the food was so delicious, and the manager made sure our experience was amazing and the waitress was phenomenal!

Excellent food. Excellent service. We ended up picking The General Ledger because they were open later for dinner than many of the other restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge. We started with the seasonal appetizer, spaghetti squash & brussels. It was fresh and delicious. For dinner, I selected the tenderloin and beet salad. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked at medium rare temperature. If you’d like a different temperature be sure to let your server know as I didn’t indicate my preference when ordering. Don’t sleep on the dessert. The skillet cookie is amazing but it does take 20-25 minutes to prepare as it’s baked fresh. I suggest ordering when your entrees arrive.

Absolutely fantastic food. The appetizers were incredible. I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms, fried green tomatoes, and cornbread. The crab fritters were also very good. Our party of 9 enjoyed every meal very much. The service was excellent and the pricing was very fair. They were also very accommodating of food allergies.

My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary this weekend and ate dinner at The General Ledger. We sat at the bar and had a great experience, the servers, hostesses, and bartenders were all warm and friendly. Our food was incredible – some of the best filet and ribeye we’re ever had! The bartenders even gave us a complimentary piece of pie with a candle for our anniversary, it was so thoughtful and delicious. We’re recommending The General Ledger to all our friends who visit Blue Ridge in the future!

So good!!! Everything we had was excellent. Service was great- we did not have reservations (came in when it opened ahead of a storm), but we were able to be seated quickly. Our waitress was great – had a great sense of humor and really made the dinner even better. Food was great!! Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

The whole experience was great! We were in town for my birthday and kind of happened upon this restaurant but we are so glad we did. THE TROUT! Get it, seriously. The bread pudding special was the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. It wasn’t dense, but it melted in my mouth! Service was so good too! Unique space, delicious food, great ambiance.
