On a lovely Friday evening we were looking for a restaurant where our party of six could sit outside however we had failed to make a reservation and we were getting quite hungry. When we came to Arturo’s on York Avenue, every table was taken and not surprisingly, we were asked if we had a reservation and we told the truth. However we must have looked pretty sad when we were told that it would be impossible to seat us, so the waiter told us if we waited for about twenty minutes, he’d find us a table in their outdoor heated dining area. He kept his word and we had an outstanding inner with lots of bread and appetizers! We all had excellent drinks from the bar snd delicious Italian specialties! We were impressed by their wonderful service snd their kindness of providing us with such a wonderful feast, even though we didn’t have a reservation!

Classic New York Italian restaurant. Olives when you arrive, cookies when you leave. Good food in an unpretentious, almost worn setting. Dishes are a combination of Italian American favorites and more adventurous options. Prices are extremely reasonable. This is a great place to eat alone at the bar, date night, table with friends, or even getting takeout.

Tiramisu and Fettuccini with prosciutto was really delicious. This might be the best tiramisu I’ve ever had – the espresso flavor is there but it’s not soggy. The fettuccini noodles are delicate and definitely taste better than “box pasta”. Our table also got tortellini and penne, both were good but the fettuccini was our favorite.

Amazing date spot! Very cozy inside… My boyfriend and I spent a couple of hours here on our anniversary- the host and servers were so kind and really let you relax. Everything was DELICIOUS but the fettuccine alfredo and the tiramisu were the stars of the show. Possibly the best of both I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back.

It’s a great neighborhood italian restaurant in UES. I went there as a group of four and ordered a few plates to have a family style meal.

Amazing Italian food! The pizza is out of this world (try the prosciutto topping)! Clean and service was quick for refills and any requests. Looking forward to going back.

Great restaurant. Great vibes. Kind waitress and not intrusive. And the best veal i’ve ever had (also came with a complementary spaghetti on the side.)
